Jack is getting ready for his date – last minute checks up the nose and stuff. HAHA!! Actually I found this old funny photo of Jack! (When he was still a my foster – not adopted yet). This is before he went on a bunny date with Rucy. Looks like he’s primping – this is perfect to use on myspace and facebook to announce he’s getting ready for his date.

lolz…Jen I SO understand where you’re coming from. I’m doing better myself weight wise since doing all the dog walking, but my face would shatter any lens within 50 feet. lmao!
Shall I send Jack “Cyrano De BUNgerac” for him to read before Saturday? And yes, those two ladies posted so far look devastatingly gorgeous to me! I love Kate, she’s a cutie!

EDIT: I decided the book title I’d originally posted, upon further thought, might sound really insensitive even though it was meant as a joke, so my apologies…I was trying to be funny and I forget how it sometimes just doesn’t look that way online. ^_^
By the way…I was wondering. This might be the thread that would be good for starting a related conversation…how DO you know when your bunny is ready for a friend? I mean, here I am, two years into bunny motherhood and I still don’t have Mimzy and Pip completely bonded (they seem to care less whether they are together or not) and I often wonder if little Fiver would ever want a mate. What kind of telltale signs does one look for? Or are there even any?
If this needs to be a new thread, I’d be happy to post one.

And his pick is VIVIAN!! She was actually the first bunny that he met and it seemed to go well, but I just wanted to be sure so I asked just to continue dating with other bunnies just to have options, but in the end, Vivian was the one! She has been in shelter care since March of 2007, so it’s time, and I feel so honored to have her here. They have been doing so well. VIvian has no problem wih snuggling with Jack and Jack has groomed her but then he starts honking and just wants to mount her and then she’ll run away, but he leaves her alone when she thumps at him. The funniest part though tonight was when Jack finally just gave it a rest. Vivian got up went over and poked him in the butt and then ran off. Marcy said she is full of personality and will make me laugh, and she sure was right!
I will be back tomorrow to give details about how it all went, (I have funny video his other date) but for now here is her photo and her description on SaveABunny.

I can’t believe she was at the shelter since 07! My goodness that’s a long time to be between homes!
She actually reminds me of Mimzy before his ears finished lopping. Striking features she has.

They are in the same pen but only when I’m there. And so I’ve been sitting either in there or by them since we got home, however, when I can’t be with them, they will be in separate pens. Marcy did say though that since they are getting along, that I should be sure to place the pens next to each other.
They get along very well, except Jack wants to mount too much. Marcy also noticed it wasn’t really a “dominance” mount, as much as it is a horny toad mount, which she said is why he may have been tolerated so much by even the Divas. He was just so excited with any female. One girl didn’t even get all four on the floor before he pinned her down for a mount. So rude! But he never wanted to fight….first. He is more of a defensive fighter I think. With Vivian, she gives him the same warnings (thumping) that Rucy would give when she’s had enough of the pursuit, and Jack will slow down then.
Vivian does come over actually to snuggle, but he’s still just too worked up to sit for long. He’ll groom and such, but it’s not long before he starts honking, and now as soon as Vivian hears the slightest honk, she lets him know it’s a no go.
We will be keeping their separate pens in the foyer, and then I’ll move b pens to both pens to bunny room later.. I also didn’t want to be in the bunny room because Jack may feel territorial about that so for now he will be off the cams until I move their pens in there.

I’m so excited for Jack!
She is adorable and absolutely perfect. How old is she?
I read her description and I am convinced that Bailey and Rucy got together and picked the feistiest Diva in the place. I think I hear giggling…Not surprised that he’s mounting everyone, but I get the impression that he is genuinely joyful to have another real live bunny back in his life. He just loves to love. The adventures will be when she tests you, BB. Turn on those webcams (forget Netflix – I’m watching BB).

This is great & so quick! He obviously was ready. She does have Mimzy’z colouring. From her description BB, your home sounds like a great match for her. I also cannot believe she was there for 2 years…I cannot believe the amount of rabbits in the shelters there period!
So funny that Jack is so amorous! Vivian sounds as if she can hold her own though.

AND oh my gosh what a long time to spend in a shelter-now she gets to live in paradise with a wonderful (if overly amorous) boyfriend

Ah, Vivian. I’m glad she found a home.
She is, or was what is called cage protective. If you put your hands into the cage or touched any of her stuff, she’d grunt and lunge at you. In fact that ‘kissy face’ picture that is posted here was in mid-growl to Marcy as she took the shot. It was this reason that she wasn’t getting adopted out as it took a seasoned bunny wrangler to know how to handle and treat her properly. Yes, she’s a diva but aren’t all buns?
I’m glad that Jack is glad and I with the best for both of them.
