So my two girls are scheduled to be spayed in May. That means I have about 3 weeks of hell to deal with!

They’ve started peeing all over their condo, no matter how enticing I make the litterbox. They were pretty good about using the litterbox before, but it’s all gone downhill, and I can’t seem to make it better.

I need to remove the carpet pieces from the 2nd level this weekend and replace them with something else. Any suggestions? I have linoleum on the 1st floor.. should I just go with that? They really dislike linoleum, but I can’t have them soaking the rug with pee every day. It’s starting to make their room smell.

I was almost thinking of grabbing an x-pen and using that on linoleum until they’re spayed and I can retrain them. Do you think that’s a worthwhile investment even if I don’t need it for a cage? The NIC condo is difficult to clean when bunnies decide to spray it down daily.

PLEASE tell me this gets better once they’re spayed.

I use coroplast with non-toxic silicone sealed in the corners.  I have had 4 different foster rabbits in the cage and none of them have chewed on the silicone.

Coroplast is basically plastic cardboard-it’s corrugated plastic. It’s also called sign board -you can generally find it in home hardware type stores. They will likely look at you like your an alien when you ask for it (or that may be just what happens to me ) so I’d suggest asking for signboard
It comes in big sheets/small sheets and different colors too. You just use a knife to cut it and size it. For clean nice looking edges, measure-and draw your lines before cutting (or you end up with sloppy flooring like I did )
