This morning Tonks would not come out of her box for morning food! Usually Tempe and Tonks are VERY excited about morning food!! Tempe was herself but I could not even get Tonks out with a Rasin. I took her out and picked her up to check her over and everything looks fine. She had eaten last nights food there was fresh poops. I sat her back down and pet her and she went back into her box.  Could she possibly just be tired or something? She has never done that.  Anyone else have  a bun that has done that?

From time to time my rabbits do that. I have some rabbits that aren’t ever really excited but most of mine aren’t.

If it doesn’t seem normal than you should just be vigilant and see how she is later on in the day.

If they are generally excited about food and then not (or vice versa) there could be soemthing wrong. It’s good she is eating and pooping-that generally means they are OK. Has anything happened recently-maybe the long weekend tired her out.

When Meadow is not excited about food, that sometimes indicates gas or potential gas later on with her. I keep an extra close eye on her, I encourage her to come out of the pen or maze and hop around a bit. In buns, anytime they DO or DON’T DO something that is “normal” for them, you need to be on moderate alert. Are they bonded together? If so, do you know for a fact that the poops are Tonks? Was there anything different about last night or this morning’s feedings? Did you feed them earlier or later than they’re used to?

thanks guys!! I panic so easliy!! Buns are such creatures of habit that any time anything changes I freak!!! I went home on my lunch and checked on her and everything seemed to be fine! She had eaten her food was climbing her cage to see me!! I let her out and she was running around acting happy. So I guess it was just a false alarm. I’ll still keep a close eye on her though. They are not bonded yet. Had to take a break from it. Was no going well and Tempe started getting anxious all the time so I backed off a bit. Going to have to start trying again soon though!! Anyway thanks again for th advice! I always appreciate it!!!!
