I hear it’s gardeners gold! Go for it. I compost mine so eventually it ends up in the garden (so called garden). Should be great for veggie patch!

I’m just starting windowbox gardening, but I’ve been using my “bunnygold fertilizer” and things look great so far.  I layered it in with the soil when I potted things and each little seedling-pod in my little plastic greenhouse has a single bunnypoo for yummies.

Yup I lived in an apartment and just had a little planter on my balconey-but I’d take out about eight poopies a day and put them on when I watered. I am putting in a garden this spring and I will definitely be putting poops out there. It seems weird to put their poops on the garden and feed them the food from it (though not weird for me to eat the veggies from it LOL) But they work great!

Very ecologically sound!  Using what comes out one end to make what goes in the other.

Is there a particular litter you need to use or do you have to pick the poops out? I would do that if I could just dump the whole thing out there…

Had to share some new pics of my teenytiny farm!

This is pretty much what I see when I come out the kitchen door. The purple pot is rosemary, the blue one is lemon thyme and the red bowl has 3 different mints fighting for tasty dominance. The box on the left railing has misc greens that have been cut once and are in the growback stage.

                    Still Life With Camera Strap
Better detail on the mints and you can see the varigated sage in the square box on the railing and the beans in the little box-planter behind the pedestal. They will be encouraged to climb the railings.

A little higher up. The long box on the right has mixed greens (spicy mesclun mix and rainbow baby greens) and the small containers are going in there as soon as they sprout up some more. You can also see that the Spearmint and Peppermint seem to have reached a detente while the applemint is attempting a strategic retreat over to the railing on the right.

Backing up a bit is the same view but you can see the hanging baskets of lemon balm, dill, and still-tiny marigold seedlings. I am watering them with beer bottles stuck in the soil once a week.

This is a closeup of the south railing. The box on the left has my mixed greens and the one on the right is sprouting up Rainbox Carrot Mix.

On the railing is some lettuce and spinach and on the far railing is basically the same mix of cut-and-now-regrowing salad greens. The little blue things are vinyl basket/boxes from the $1 store that I punched holes in the bottom and and wired to the railing. They hold the next round of greens and some carrot seeds I got at GreenFest – neither of which has sprouted yet as I only planted them out last weekend.  You can see my favorite place to enjoy my little urban oasis – my hanging chair. There is also a small box of luffa seedlings that I hope will climb this side of the railing, and a soon-to-be-hanging-basket of dandelions for Pepper.
