  Hey yall!
  I have been put in charge of making the centerpeices for tables for our FFA Banquet this year
  ( haha our President asked for artsy crafty people and everyone pointed to me :lol
  And i was wondering if any of yall had any sites or pictures so i could get an idea of what to do!!

  how many tables do you need centerpieces for? and do you have a tight budget?
  
  i think fresh flowers are awesome. since theyre expensive you can have just one nice tall clear glass vase of fresh flowers for the center of the table (or center of just the head table if you have lots of tables) and then get shorter-height versions of the glass vase and fill them with something colorful to match.

  I used to work for a flower shop while in college and so had to do a lot of wedding type favors…. have you any idea what you’re looking for? What kind of banquet is this… casual? formal? Give me some info and I can try to help…

  I was thinking bout using a basket like this but in a deeper finish
  
  as i think it could maybe repersent the the working with animals and stuff (dose that sound stupid??)
  
  and then use a flower arangment like this sitting in the basket
  
  but im not sure as i think the basket may not be formal enough
  
  so any ideas?

  i also know how to make arangments on plates that have fake flowers surrounding a candle whidh look really pretty if you do it right

  Also, Mirrors as a base to set peices on are great because they double the volume visually, without actually having to double the volume physically. So anything metallic, shiny, lit candles etc throws light and sparkles. Great for night functions.

  You could probably do centerpieces with sugar cookies- have you seen the “cookie bouquets” that are sugar cookies on sticks and then the sticks are arranged like flowers? You could probably make them reasonably cheap- and it might be a lot of fun to have friends over to help mix, roll, back and decorate the sugar cookies- and then put the centerpieces together when done.
  
  I think the business name is “Cookies by Design”- but I know there are projects to DIY (do it yourself). It would be unique and a momento of the event.
