We are going on a trip overseas.  I sooo want to bring Cotton but the stress and perhaps quarantine.  I have a good bunny sitter I just emailed.

I am going to miss him so much him and Ruby.  They have never been without me more than 24 hours. I am going to hate this.

I am scared Cotton won’t eat.  He is so very attached to me and I had a cat that didn’t eat for 7 days and ohh ohh ohh all these horror thoughts running around in my head.

My friend the sitter has her own buns thats where I got Ruby from.  They will be staying at her house.  I feel good about that.  Dang why does having a pet get so hard when you go away?  The worry the desire that they come with me and on and on…

I know it will be hard ot be away from them- make sure you take a picture and have a number to be able to call the petsitter for updates.  I would not consider taking a rabbit overseas for a trip- I would worry about quarantine and that rabbits are not  viewed as pets in some countries- plus any diseases or illness or parasites that he could possibly be exposed to- US vets would not be familiar with if he were to show symptoms after being home again.

Maybe you can get a stuffed animal- have them sleep with it- and then take the stuffed animal with you.  I know that would be comforting to me.  Maybe you petsitter can email frequent updates so you will be able to have recent news about them, if you will have access to a computer to check email.

It would be terribly difficult for you to leave them home but I imagine it would be more stressful for Cotton or Ruby to travel overseas. So much so that this stress could have the same effect as the one you fear they might have staying behind! I’m sure Cotton & Ruby would have a sense of security being with another rabbit person. Someone who is confident with them. They seem to sense and respond well to such people. For you though BT I don’t know what to suggest. You’d have to fill your days with other distractions.

Oh definitely-how long are you going for? I find that when I have to leave them, I bring pictures with me so I can look at them and also phone the petsitter and email them (as if they aren’t annoyed looking after my devil-bunnies, they have to put up with me phoning and emailing LOL ) It really helps!

Yes that quarantine thing.   Probably better for them to stay here.  I know it is the right choice. They will be fine.

We aren’t leaving til August and don’t even have tickets yet.  Be going to middle east during Ramaddan that will be so much fun.  Hubby has a big family there.  OH and all that special delicious food too.

But the water may be a bit rough for a few days getting used to it.  Another reason not to take the buns.  I don’t want them sittin in quarantine.  And it is a very long flight.

Pics yes most definitely will be taking them.  And 2 little stuffed bunnies that I have for them I can take them too and leave 2 shirts for them with my smell on it.

I am both nervous and excited at the same time.

hubby is staying for 3 months he says.   Me for 20 days.  I will shell out 140.00 for their pet sitting.  So I will make my trip shorter.  Plus my very important meds.

I definitely don’t want to run out of bipolar meds God Forbid.  And back pain stuff too.  Yes Egypt here we come. Well in 3 months
