So I’m going to school at the local college and in between my class I like to sit in the libary by the windows and read. Well today as I was looking out the window I noticed this small black thing that looked like a kitten, so I watched it for awhile and it didn’t move, so I went out to the field to check it out. It turned out to be a soaking wet baby lionhead sitting in the snow. It took me and a very nice passerby an hour and a half to corner and catch her. I contacted the rescue that i got shamrock from and they agreed to take her and i agreed to foster and try to convince my father to allow me to keep her. She is soooooooo cute, this little chocolate brown lionhead baby.
The rescue said that they have had about 20 lionheads dumped in this area lately and are trying to find who is doing it. They think it might be someone who got a couple of rabbits didnt fix them and ended up with a lot. I’m going to keep an eye out for more when ever i’m at class just in case. I will post pictures just as soon as my camera battery recharges
Oh, I’m so glad you rescued this poor little rabbit. I hope they find out too who is dumping them.
That is awful! Thank gosh you were able to get him/her!
Oh my gosh that is sad! Glad you found at least that one when you did, it surely couldn’t have surviced very long. Would their be a heafty fine if they do find who is doing this? There has to be some sort of accountability surely.
The rescue is in contact with the police and are hoping to press animal cruetly charges if/when they find this person.

Well I’m thinking of naming her Karma because it was fate that she let me catch her. She has the golden brown patch on her back and then the rest of her is this chocolate brown color very very cute. She has the adorable habbit of laying down on my desk back feet stretched out while I’m woring it is so cute to see how comfy she is with me. I am sure when I was chasing her around she was thinking who is this crazy lady but now she is like “ok not so bad she gives me food”
Oh, she’s cute – she looks like a fuzzy mouse. I know she is grateful you rescued her – I like the name Karma too.
what an adorable little bunny…. I just love lionheads too.. HE is so pretty.
Awe dumping them sad. 20 is a lot. must have had several litters.
AW!!!!!! He reminds me of Kahlua!
SQUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! It’s Kahlua!!!! LOL
Here’s my lionhead who’s your new baby’s doppelganger (sp?)

Oh how precious! (Uh-oh…I feel a SQUEE coming on….) *stifle*
That last picture makes this sweet little bun look like a coffee bean! ^_^ I love the name Karma, though.
Who on earth could think of dumping such a cute little thing?? I swear, I don’t know why our species is named “Humanity” it’s just not applicable for some folks. >.<
You’re not insane…you are TERRIFIC for taking in this lost bun! I see a twinkle in her eye that just screams “THANK YOU SO MUCH!”
those little lionheads are sooo cute. But the coloring makes me think of tiny wherewolves 😉 maybe Lupin?
Well she had her first vet visit. She is healthy for the most part, she has an upper respitory infection that is being treated with medication. I had the vet check to see if she was pregnant just in case lucky she does not appear to be pregnant, and we will have her spayed as soon as the infection is cleared up. She is just soo sweet.
Awww.. she’s cute. My Daisy is a lionhead, but she must not be mixed because she is not that furry. So adorable. LOVE the name Karma! I wanted to name a dog Karma, but alas we ended up with bunnies instead.
That is awesome that you were able to catch her- so she can get better (from her upper respiratory infection) and find a good home.
That is so sad that someone is dumping multiple lionheads. Maybe someone had the idea they would make “tons” of money and when that didn’t work out- they released them. ![]()
I’m so glad you noticed her! I cannot imagine what kind of doofus would release poor little baby lionheads out in the SNOW! I’m betting you’ll keep her
Its hard to let go of the ones that you find like that.
karma is adoreable! thank goodness you spotted her – the poor darling all abandoned in the snow like that. i hpe they catch the ass hat whos doing that soon!
karma is staying, I caved and adopted her
YEA!!!!!
It’s your Karma. ![]()
SWEET!!! That’s so wonderful!
What a wonderful time of year to welcome a new bun! ^_^ Congratulations! And happy Karma too! ![]()
Congratulations! Hope there’s some resolution on the person dumping the little ones.
Gah! People suck! I love the name Karma!
All three rabbits had their first meeting and all went very well. Shamrock even groomed Karma. I figure I’ll let them spend a couple minutes each day together, Gizmo likes the idea of having two girls lol.
