cute video and then I read the story and wanted to cry.  It showed up in a “shipment” of baby bunnies- so no one noticed that this poor bunny had a deformity until a pet shop worker saw it.

And it mentioned it could have been caused by overbreeding or exposure to pesticides.    I can’t tell from the video if it is a functioning nose- I would be curious to hear a statement from a vet that was able to examine the animal.  It almost looks like it could be a scar (but I can not see clearly enough to tell).   Either way- it is sad that it took 6 weeks for someone to notice- of course if they had noticed earlier the rabbti farm probably would have culled it.

Cute, but sad. Especially because whoever ends up with the rabbit probably will only have/want it because it’s a ‘novelty’.

^ I agree, I wondered what the exposure in the media would bring forth in way of customers. I’m always wary of a story that begins “this is not an April Fools joke…” Beautiful bunny – hope it gets a good home. Wonder if any other hidden extras – ovaries, testicles, other organs?

Very cute -but so sad. A) Why were six week old bunnies “shipped” they should be eight weeks old, and the possible causes? That’s sad. Glad the bunny will be OK though

That’s what I was thinking too Jers-it could be just the nose but all those bunnies may have something internally wrong with them!
