  Thank you! Happi is settleing in just fine as a house rabbit and is taking motherhood in stride. She is getting used to me stroking her and kissing her on top the head. I even managed to clip her nails, she gets so scared when I pick her up, she breathes fast and heavy her eyes either bulge out or she has them closed tight. I talk to her gently and hold her firmly so she feels secure. After a minute she starts to relax. I clipped her nails, I think she was half in a trance! Hehehe As soon as I was done I put her down and she went to eat her lettuce, no hard feelings!

  My Californian rabbit’s eye also bulge when I pick her up – it sounds like you are making great progress with Happi in making her feel secure.

  How big is Happi? She looks gigantic in coparison to her babes… I guess that’s normal tho… lol. I’m not familiar with the californian breed, they are a rather large bun, right?

  LOL, she does look huge compared to her babies! I would guess she is around 8-10 pounds, and nice armful when I pick her up!
  
  She is amazing, she uses her litter box, even when out running around she’ll go back in and use it!! She is a gentle soul, I’m completely in love with her! Thanks everyone for looking.

  You might try giving Happi a treat when you pick her up and hold her for a few. IT has worked great with Cotton. He has become so very calm when I pick him up now. Saying pick you up also helps in letting them know what is about to happen.
  
  Hopefully this helps. Oh and we all (am sure I speak for everyone here) would love to see more pics of the babies as they grow.

  aw, the babies are so cute! in the last pic some of the babies look “silvery”- is it just the lighting? Are the babies a combo oh white/black?

  Aw, I’m so happy for you and how well you’ve been bonding with Happi. Sounds like she is going to have a great life! I would have had no idea what to do if I adopted a rabbit and it randomly popped out a bunch of kits… you’re doing a great job!
