but on the bright side… i can be on the BB forums inbetween naps!

it was so weird.  friday i was at my sis’ place helping her pack up her kitchen in time for the moving truck sat morn.  and on my way home around midnight i sneezed twice and got a cold.  bah.  so i helped her move on sat but felt increasing ly worse all day.  yesterday i slept the WHOLE day long and then all night too.  except for bathrm breaks and to eat a bit here & there.  still feel like a zombie this morning so i decided to take the day off work.   i think when your hair hurts you should not be out amoung people.

for fun… my fav pic of bogart and pinky:

I’m sorry you don’t feel well, but I think you’re doing the right thing staying home and taking care of yourself. I get so annoyed with coworkers who think they’re being stoic by coming in sick and saying that they never get sick/stay home. Right. They proceed to infect the rest of the staff and you have everyone taking turns with it for the next month. On behalf of your healthy coworkers today, I thank you.

Great pix of Bogart and Pinky!

BTW, are you stressed about your sis moving? I bet the packing loosened up a lot of dust and germs while you were doing it.
          Here, take my hanky.

i was thinking that i might have stirred up some dusty germs while helping pack.  but then a couple of coworkers were sneezing on friday so who knows?  i def would rather take off one day than infect coworkers!  plus i turn into a sucky 2yr old when i’m sick and i just dont want my colleagues to see that side of me

I am sorry you aren’t feeling well. There was a particularly strong strain of a cold going around my work that lasts for 7 weeks, the last 2 are a dry cough. Then, to top things off, a sinus infection went around and I got that too…GRRRR. So I went to the Dr. and am now on antibiotics for 2 weeks…I hope that you feel better soon and keep an eye out for a sinus infection and see the Dr. right away BBM.

Pam, well-said and thank you for saying exactly what I was thinking. It’s always the ones that have a TON of sick leave to take that come in sick at my work and have been around forever that are making the rest of us younger ones who don’t have a lot accrued sick and we end up having to take time off and it really drives me up a wall. The same ones even complain when I Lysol everything when people are sick. I work in a very odd place…

Thats rude that they complain about the Lysoling! I’m always wipping my desk and keyboard down. One of my friends at a tax firm that I used to work at was the same way, she was very clean. We had this really kind of gross partner that worked there too, and he was always walking around and calling clients from her desk. Every time he would leave the room she would pull out her clorox bleach wipes and wipe it down! It was really funny, and then once he touched her pencil, and she picked it up with a Clorox bleach wipe and dumped it right in the trash. He sneezed at her desk once and she almost died, literally.

All my kids had to do to stay home from school was look at me strange. 0_o I should be walking around with a little mask on all the time, I’m so germophobic. >.<

BTW…Careful of that hanky, BBM…it’s been the rounds with Mimzy while he’s been ill. ^_^

And what better way to spend the day when you aren’t feeling well but with the best medicine on Earth? BUNNIES!

                      LOL, MM. You remembered that!
You are the definition of a Virgo.

Scarlet, sadly, you seem to work in a typical place. I finally brought in both a dispenser of wipes that are sitting discreetly on the floor by the lobby phone (my extension, 2 rooms away from my desk, used by all the volunteers. Don’t ask.) And I have a can of Lysol in my office that I take into the bathroom with me on occasion. I am so disgusted – the big boss cut expenses when the awful cleaning service wasn’t doing a good job – and fired them. But didn’t replace them! Now the maintenance staff is responsible for all cleaning. You can imagine how much that gets done. (not.) So we got that long, nasty cold followed by sinus infection here in FL also. My poor boss, who is never sick, was very, very sick with it for over 3 weeks. I’d had my cold for a week just before, so was immune to hers.

                      Feel better, BBM.

lol… thats so funny… i have lysol wipes at work too.  i wipe down my phone & keyboard & work surface once a week or so but more vigilantly if anyone in the office has been sick (including me!)  i went into work today, hopefully not too soon to be spreading germs.  still needed my dayquil to function but i’m not plugged up anymore, just a dry nagging cough.  sounds like what you’re cautioning about scarlet.  hope i avoid the sinus infection ’cause i’ve been avoiding my doc.  i told her i’d loose weight at my last check-up and i’ve gained instead   lol.
