This is the new and FINAL cage setup! I actually have alittle more room in the office now, but it’s higher than the last cage. And the blue grides are actually a whole gate that swings out to my desk blocking them from getting into anything on the “office side”
The picture cut off at the left but the cage ends at their litter box on the left.
Knight Archie is guarding the tower in case anyone tries to attack his queen.

Queen Gracie is not to be disturbed while she’s sleeping!

Getting their beauty sleep.

Begging to get out and run around (I feel bad for having to leave them in their cage to make sure the bonding is set)

Gracie seemed to always question herself on jumping up on stuff but after seeing Archie do it, she’s getting the hang of it. She even caught onto how he goes to the second floor of his cottage and jumps out the window to the second level of the cage! (He’ll even jump off the third level down to the second level)

They seemed to be getting a long great! Besides mounting each other sometimes….not even that, Archie’s to fast for her and Archie knows the words “be nice” or “groom nice” and stops mounting…usually haha!
They look so great together!!! And I love the condo, great idea to make it double as a blockade!
Did you ever think months ago that this is where you’d end up?! LOL!

Not even close! ![]()
Just think, in Dec. we started out with an actual office and had a small 2×3 cage for Archie and a few months later we now have a “bunny room” with a desk and sewing machine in it
My hubby says this is his “greatest work” he’s done yet on the cage and he “says” he’s not remodeling it anymore and it’s the final design. I couldn’t imagine if we actually had them in the basement and he had all that space to play with
I like this design because pretty much no matter where they go we can get them somehow (if they would have a fight or mount the wrong way).
Very cool setup and they look real cute together. So I’m wondering about the floor, is it slippery for them? Neither of my rabbits seem to like floor at all.
One last question: What’s up with that litter box with all the paper in it? Is it a digging box or is it their litter box and what did you put inside?
WOW!!!

It’s linolium; not too slippery for them. I got it from Home Depot. I put a blanket in there but they usually just bunch if up. Haha, we ran out of litter the other day (thought we had more) and I just put all paper shreddings in it for the time being. But I usually use either wood stove pellets or the horse bedding pellets from Tractor Supply and then put shredded paper on top of it. I tried doing a dig box for Archie once but he just went to the bathroom in it.
Gracie was digging in that litter though but the sides are high enough where not that much came out.
I like pens where you can walk all the way in to clean. That is my major issue with some NIC condo designs, how do you fully clean the levels? But you’ve got a nice set-up… they have levels for some height, but it’s really more a pen than an enclosed condo.

Yeah that’s what I love about it too, before I was twisting and turning to clean it but now I just walk right in and vacuum up all their mess. I can get my hand into some of the levels and at the top we put on each side a grid that’s zip tied to the rest and has a clamp that acts like a hatch. I came across another problem today with their litter…they were both in the same one (kind of snug) and Gracie’s butt was by the opening and she went to pee and it went out the litter box ![]()
Need to find something big enough for the two of them but have high sides because the both like to dig in their litter.
I always get so jealous of seeing everyone’s super nice condos. I would love to have one for Felony, but it would be a waste. Actually it might not be a waste, he’d probably make me live in the condo while he continued to run the house…
Haha my husband came home last night to find me in the cage with them
Since I can’t take them out yet, I had to go in and give them some attention
I’d have to say it’s quite spacious hehe!
Mmmm… that condo looks big enough to house 3 bunnies…![]()

You’re so evil, you know that!
Weren’t you the one that suggested getting another bun before?
Careful hubby may lock you in the cage with the bunnies. Now really would that be so bad?
I can see hubby coming home from work oh honey where are you? Looking all over then finally finding you in the bunnies house all tucked in eating the salad with them. He just may think you turned into a bunny yourself. Tehheee
Great bunny house and very adorable bunnies too.

You should make that your signature Jersey… talk about subliminal messages!
I’d be bringing them home and not even realizing how many were accumulating (LOL!… like K&K! j/k…)
LMAO! ![]()
You guys are something!
Actually we did go to the pet store and we saw this bunny we couldnt resist…….

Hehe It was one of those bunnies at petsmart they were selling as dog toys. I thought they might like it…but unfortunately they didn’t seem too interested in him. I was going to try to wash my bunny slippers and claim them back ![]()
Oh I forgot to mention, my husband was at it again with the cage the other day! He said that was his final cage design but he’s allowed to twick it haha! We had that cottage in there but Gracie likes to dig at the cardboard and move it and they both go to the second floor and jump out the window to the the second floor of the cage; but if it’s moved they can’t do that. And Archie likes sitting at the top. So….my husband built a little tower for him and a ramp from the tower to the 3rd level and also some 1/2 levels for them to get up there.
We still have to carpet the ramp but Archie does like to slide down it ![]()

I had to get a new litter box because SOMEONE *cough*Graice*cough* kept digging all the litter out of both boxes! She even had her butt on and started peeing out of it! So I went to Petsmart and bought a giantic cat litter box that is perfect for both of them! So now we’re down to just one box. It’s by Rubber Maid, if anyone was interested.

That is a great litterbox!
sweet condo! v.nicely done
beka you’re hilarious ![]()
Love that setup … the condo is bigger than my own bedroom
Skibunny, how many grids did you use total?

If I counted right about 101 grids ![]()
That’s counting the gray and blue grids. And probably over 100+ zip ties! We’ve already went through 300 (from all the different designs, and cutting them apart and putting more in). My mom things we should buy stock on zip ties haha!
*coughBeka&Jerseygirlarejustsillycough*
ahem. Can’t seem to get rid of this cough.
Your condo is really amazing. Especially the part about being easy to clean.
I love the condo! It looks so awosme!!! bunnies are adorable to
Id love to have enough room to make somethingl ike that for my bunnies!
So don’t roll your eyes but we made some changes to the cage. They didn’t really care for those levels. We figured out that they love ramps! So we redid some of it and they love it! The blanket is where Gracie kept biting the linolem and the cardboard is for when she digs in the litter haha! We made a ramp going to the 2nd floor, another ramp to a 1/2 floor and around the corner the ramp goes to the 3rd floor. And the blue grids are the gate that swings out, so right now they can leave the cage. I’m sure it won’t stay this clean for long
We are not changing this for a long time. I’m so glad they like it because we’re getting tired of creating new setups…we at least I am haha! It’s super easy to clean too, we left openings on the side to reach in and for them to jump up to.

Wow! That’s an awesome setup! And that’s so great that you, and hubby, and bunnies (of course their “missing” is really a message!) all get to have a say in it! Too great!
