So I got this bright idea to attach my willow ring to a wooden spoon so I could hold it out for Bunny to hop through. It is working great! He was not so interested in hopping through it when I held it because he just would go up to my hand to see what I was holding instead of hopping through. Ok so after seeing someones video on here where the bunny hopped through a hoop I am determined to get my bun to do the same. It turns out he loves training! He does sometimes binkies during training and definitely afterwards. I have only been doing this for a couple of days now with the hoop and he is picking it up great. I took a video of our trianing session last night but it is pretty dark after uploading it. You can still see whats going on though. I am using a brocoli flourette for the treat.

OMG I’m so jealous!! Look at that! You did fantastic-and so quickly!! Isn’t it cool how much they like being trained?

where did you get a willow ring that large from?  I have been thinking about trying that with my bunnies- but was not sure where to get an appropriate ring from.

What a sweet bunny- so well trained and trying so hard to please his Mom.

More like trying so hard to get at those treats.

I’m certain that Dono would enjoy training. If only he wasn’t terrified of me.

Hehe, he is absolutely mad for treats. I swear he loves food so much. I think he likes to please me as well though.

After all he is an only bun. I am his best friend

Oh, Katnipcrzy, I forgot to say where I got the ring from! I got it at the dollar store; The Dollar Tree I think it is called.

Hopefully one day he will do the tricks with less food involvement, but for now it is a great way to give him his veggies
Since my video turned out so dark I just made a new one. It is daytime so it’s much brighter and you can see Bunny better!

I love the spinning at the end of the first vid – he goes quite fast! I reckon he works you out in the 2nd vid though.  He follows your hand some, then stops and waits until your hand come back in front of him.  Ha – clever!  He’s beautiful!  Well done!

Mark, that’s not a bad idea with Dono. The training seems to be a real bonding thing to do with pets. If he took to it, at least he’d associate more positive experiences with you as opposed to nail trims and vet visits.

Wow… looking at that second video – I’ve never seen a bunny so crazy for treats! Hehe. He seems so patient in between though! Frankie would be climbing all over me!
