i let the buns out for some play time.. (i haven’t even had them a week!)

and then took a nap this evening

and woke up to find this!!

one of them is totally fearless. she was just sitting at the end of my bed (no idea how she even hopped up there!). i quickly snapped a picture with my phone..  said hi to her, she came over, licked my hand, and sat on my lap!!! then hopped away a few minutes later.

is this normal after having a rabbit for only a few days? her sister is a lot more timid. did i end up adopting an abnormally fearless bunny?

and by the way, i’m totally in bunny-love. they are the most awesome house companions ever.

How positively adorable is that?! There is no such thing as ‘normal’ rabbit behavior, unless you count devious. So according to that, she’s behaving perfectly well!

Buns are just like people – some are shy and some are outgoing.  My Pepper is skittish around people but absolutely fearless when it comes to exploring.  She nearly drowned when she decided to take a blind leap into a full bathtub while I was taking a nap.  The first weekend I had her she figured out how to climb up a ladder!  (there was tea bread cooling on the table).

She was just making sure you were all right. I have found that even my independant Maryann will come to check on me if I’m just lounging on the couch. Usually she checks by getting onto the arm rest then jumping on my head, but she does check.

My guess is that she was thinking that report looked mighty tasty . . . but then you woke up and foiled her plan!

Maybe it’s because I recently watched Willard… But that totally make me think of Ben. Only waaaay cuter.

Follow up on my post – Pepper has figured hout how to cross the back of the couch and the radiator to get onto the table and chowed down on a candle last night.

Three years and she’s STILL surprising me.

How cute ! I love that little inquisitive look she has!

I used to love it when my bunnies hopped up onto my bed, but then they started loving the bed so much that they decided they would start marking it. And when it was just a few dry poops I didn’t mind, but then one night they decided to pee on it to mark it….while I was in it….so they had to be blocked from the bed

HAHHA! So cute! What a great photo!! And Markusdark – HAHHA! Funny caption!

The words Normal and Bunny Behavior don’t really ever go together. :0 ) That’s why rabbits can be so tricky. I always say, what will work with one rabbit can be sooo off base with another.

You’ll find some basic norms regarding health and some basic behaviors, but they really are as individual as people. So much fun because of that. So much more character than most people would have ever expected.

In addition to their differing one from another, like Pepper, their own behavior changes abruptly even after years. Markus – love the caption BTW.

Samantha has just discovered she can jump up on the couch, and on me on the couch. She’s not a jumper, but I think that’s about to change even more.

Once they master the vertical space, it’s all over from there… lol ;o)
