        Hi there.

Haven’t been on BB as much as I used to, joined a buch of other pet forums and have also been pretty busy.

Here’s an update for those who care

        – I renamed Leila, who is now Polo.

        – Pudge is all better from his possible wet tail. ♥

        – Pudge and Polo are almost fully bonded and can usually run around their new area, destroying things and ignoring eachother.

        – finished “making” bunny area and now all I have to do is add a bunch of toys, maybe a maze or two, you know…BB stuff

**** I added some pics of the bunny area. I would like to ask you experienced bunny owners if it’s big enough for them to free roam 24-7? I unfortunatly don’t have the privilege of letting the buns roam the house so I’m restricted to the basment (sort of a plus for those hot summer days, and I can turn the heater on if it’s too cool down there ) Do you think it’s big enough??? I don’t know the dimensions (and am a bit too lazy to go rummaging for measuring tape ).

***** Also for those of you who are multiple bunny owners, I’m curious would I be able to bond Pudge ( 3.5 yo boy) and Leila (3-5 (?) (yo girl) to a baby rabbit? I  know you can bond bunnies who are various ages but I’ve never tried with a baby bun before. Of course I’d wait till it’s around… 2-4 months and spayed/neutered to before bonding.. I’m not getting another bun… but sort of considering adding another member to my lop duo

That’s a great size! Will you be able to spend a lot of time down there interacting with them? That is always my worry, you know… “out of sight, out of mind”?

A baby could be tricky. He/she would have to be altered before introducing, and then there is always the risk that it would break the bond betw/ Pudge and Leila (whoops… Polo!) You could try, but it might not work and baby would have to be housed separately.

Looks great!! I have to add that there are lots of cheap things you can do for toys-get cardboard tunnels at home depot (for pouring concrete) for like a couple of dollars, phone books, cardboard boxes with holes in them, tupperware containers (Big ones of course) with holes cut in them

With the heaters if your talking about a space heater, this is the paranoid mom in me, but make sure you never leave it pluggedi n (even if it’s off) when your not home! Better to be a bit chilly then start a fire -and buns do quite well with chilly temps-they’ll adjust to the temp down there; AND if you don’t have to wear a jacket, it should certainly be warm enough for them

                  bt & tiger- thanks

Beka- No worries, I def won’t be forgetting about the needy buns Thanks for the info…hmmm I guess if I were to get a baby and it didn’t work out I would set up different hours for exercising… I probably won’t be getting a baby bun anyways.

K&K- Thanks, those are great ideas! I’ll try them. I bet they’ll like the phone book….I’ll place it in their favorite carpet destroying spot…
I only turn on the heater when I’m down there hanging out with them. I get a little cold and I think they may enjoy a bit of warmth.

                  **edit**

Oh the bunnies really enjoy the phone book! They took to it right away and started digging and shredding at it!

                  Thanks for the suggestion.
