  I am trying so hard NOT to reply to this ad and tell this person I am more than willing to be the new home for their bunny. those EARS!!! I’m 5 1/2 hours from Abilene but will be there for 2 days starting tomorrow. somebody hold me back!

  OK… I’ll try be the voice of reason here for you….though English Lops are so unique! He is a male and this could upset the balance of your recent breezy bonding of Duncan and Dallas. Could work I guess, if you had him in different part of the house….then you’d likely want to find a friend for him – hehehe! So if that’s do-able – I won’t be talking you out of it!! You could always contact the poster and get more detail. If they’re aren’t rushing to rehome him, you can at least feel hopeful that he’ll go to a good home if you aren’t able to take him.
  
  So you were going to Abilene for different reasons and right before going, have been looking at bunnies on craiglist??? Haha! Sounds like you “want another bunny, want another bunny, want another bunny!”

  those ears are so cute! I had a bad enough time with Mini Lop ears during bonding sessions- can you imagine how vulnerable those poor ears would be? The only solution would be to cuddle with him all the time.
  
  I wonder if they are prone to specific medical problems with their ears. I have never seen an English lop in person. The only place I would see one around here would be at a county fair/4H- and I don’t think I could bear to see that many bunnies in one barn housed like they are- it would make me too sad.

  Think of all the extra work. YEs it makes a big difference. And the food bill and toys etc. Yes it really does add up and the extra work oh my gosh. the vet bill if they get sick etc etc etc.
  
  do you have the room for another to be in his own space if the other 2 won’t accept him. Will it mess up the bond you already established?

  AND STAY AWAY FROM CRAIGS LIST

  Stay away from pet shops.
  With adorable bunnies.
  That little kids are poking at.
  Because then you just want to save them all.

  The bun had beautiful coloring….the employees were teasing me and kept asking If I was looking for a rabbit and if I’d like to hold it. Well I finally broke down …..and held it…. it had to be lighter then my hamster! Poor lil guy (or girl?) it’s probably too young to be away from it’s mother… now I’m worried it’ll be sold for some Easter present for a child…

  aww, you’re a goner, 2lops. I came by number six when I was getting hay from the sanctuary. They were taking photos of the sanctuary buns for petfinder and I saw my little Agouti, Hershey and just had to hold her for a minute. An hour later I was almost crying because I had to leave without her….lol. A month later she came home with me and bachelor Simba. She has completely bunny whipped him and he looks like a happy little stuffed animal.

  I am so proud of myself, I did it!! I went to Abilene and came back WITHOUT mr long ears!! There were only 2 things stopping me from taking him.. 1) I do not want to get another bunny until we move to a place with an exotics vet. Having a dog/cat vet for a rabbit does not work out so well!! 2) if when I get another bunny I want it to be a female, since I already have 2 males and don’t want to push my luck!
  whew. I barely got out of that.
  
  LOL jerseygirl…well…….yeah, I was. but ONLY because(or at least, this is how I was justifying it to myself) there might be one in some desperate need of a home, or one about to be snake bait()!!

  The person that I got Penny from bought her from a pet store when she was a baby- and she gave me 2 harnesses- 1 that fit her when she bought her and one that fits her now. The first harness- no joke looks like it would fit a medium sized rat- it is so tiny! Penny fit in the palm of her hand when she bought her. (even at adult eight she is only 3 1/3 lbs) But I can not imagine that tiny harness fitting a baby bunny old enough to be weaned. She must have been so little- and obviously irresistible.
