my boys are both big grumps this week.  Butterscotch thumps and runs in his hutch and Snowflake never comes out of his hutch.  Butterscotch has thumped constantly since I came into the room.  I just can’t figure out why they are so grumpy.  i got them a mini haven and they won’t go in it nothing seems to make them happy.  They are 4 week post neuter maybe this has something to do with it or maybe 8 months is a bad age maybe they are in their teenage time and like humans they get impossible

You know there are so many ‘slights’ they will take offense to…Did you change your perfume? Hang out with a dog/cat/other rabbit? Come home later then usual? Leave earlier then usual? could just be the new toy-in a week or two you won’t be able to get them out of it !

I know just how you feel.
Sammykins is almost 2 weeks after her spay, and she is just hanging out under her basket most of the time. Yesterday I was worried she wasn’t eating and there was something wrong with her health, but she finished breakfast by the time I got home from work, then ate all her supper and more by morning, so it wasn’t illness.

She’s just stinkin mad at me for cramming her into the old travel pen, having this unfortunate thing happen to her body (shaved? While she slept? Scars? What’s all this she wonders.) leaving her with those vet strangers, and being gone over night at my parent’s. (Helping my Mum.)

I think I am in the dog house big time, but don’t realize it. So when I try to be nice, she lets me pet her head a few times, then she’s gone. I expect forgiveness will be coming for both of us soon, with enough treats.
