I brought Olivia to the vet on Thursday to get the lump on her incision checked out. I figured it was nothing but the vet said the re-check would be free so she might as well have a look at it. Turns out there is a bit of an infection between the folds of skin which created a tiny pus pocket. I have to give oral antibioticis 2x day and antibiotic ointment 3x day. The vet said this was probably being overcautious, but better to be aggressive than risk it getting worse. She had to clip the area to get a good look and she tranced Olivia. The most amazing thing I’ve ever seen!!!! It took her like 2 seconds. I’ve tried at home and it’s impossible!

More bad news! When I got to the vet, my friend who works there told me my rabbit vet is leaving at the end of the week! I was so devastated to hear this. After all my searching and going so long without a competent rabbit vet! But it turns out it’s not as bad as that. My vet told me she was leaving for a few months to “get things in a new direction” but I will be able to find her in a few months. I assume she’s opening up her own clinic. Which is great.  I was really pleased that she offered me her e-mail and home phone # and said If I have any questions to not hesitate to call her. I thought this was really great of her.
