Some bunnies do this as their normal sleeping, but if this is new it could mean something else is going on. Have you noticed anything else, runny nose or eyes, any other sounds while awake or is this only when sleeping?

          How old is your bunny?

Rucy’s getting to that age if she isn’t already either! Same boat with age, but I know she will be at least that soon.

I wouldn’t be too worried, just be alert to see if this continues and accompanies any other problems. Sometimes respiratory infections can start to show up as older bunnies immune systems can sometimes decline a bit, but usually with some respiratory infection, you will notice this in other ways too. So just keep an eye on him, and if this is all it is, then you may just find a you have a snorer.

Oh, BTW. I was at the vets the other day and there was a lady with her very healthy, active 12 year old bunny! The bunny was getting a molar trim, but otherwise healthy and happy. I told her I LOVE to see bunnies like this – gives me hope that I will still have Rucy for years to come.

Dwarf dutch mix. Not a full dutch, but it looked like there could be some dutch mixed in.
