Well, I thought I had her pee problem solved. Now, I’m just baffled.

I stopped feeding her hay and greens on my bed and the pee went away. The poos did for the most part too. For an entire month. A whole month! No pee, almost no poos. I may be wrong, but I do NOT think that this new pee problem is at all related to the pee problems I’d had with her earlier -It seems to me like it was a problem that was purely linked to the fact that she had food on the bed. (Even though she doesn’t eat hay in her litterbox and she doesn’t pee on the floor where she does have her hay/ veggies.) When I stopped feeding her there, she immediately stopped peeing.

        But then..

Then, this morning about ten minutes before I was going to get up, Little-Bit got REALLY antsy and active -getting little bursts of energy, digging in things, and chewing on her hutch really hard and moving it around. (And she’s not normally a big chewer.) She comes up and burrows underneath my blankets, digging next to my legs, and then I move my foot to feel this wet spot…

        LITTLE-BIT!!!!

She’s been showing this ‘antsy’ behaviour at the same time in the morning a couple of times lately. As I’m typing this, she’s still making patterns behind me -hoping up her condo, chewing her hutch hard and moving it around a few times, hopping onto my bed, hopping around on my bed some, hopping off the other side, hopping around some on the ground, coming back up her condo to repeat the cycle. And I describe it as ‘antsy’ and not ‘excited’ because there isn’t a whole lot of running involved. Like I said, there are some ‘bursts’ of running and some head binkies. But for the most part, it’s just hopping around -everywhere- and some chewing and some light digging.

        ..and now peeing apparently.

I suppose it is worth note that I do feed her her pellets in the morning when I get up. I don’t know if that means anything or anything. But, yeah.

        What’s going on here?

OH how annoying.    Cotton stopped peeing on couch then started up again.  I have no idea why either one of them are doing this but oh is it annoying.

mmm…it could be some impatience for her pellets. Especially now that you’re not letting her eat on your bed. Sounds like peeved peeing but you never can tell. I know those little head binkies…I think they’re like a pre-cursor to some naughtiness or power play or just plain “I’m annoyed at you – give me attention!” sign. Also, under the blankets etc, your smell would be stronger to her so she would leave her smell too I guess.

Well she burrows underneath my covers a lot without incident though. :/

I have read about the possibility of it being…’revenge’ peeing. Which I guess could either be due impatience for her pellets and/ or the fact that I’ve constantly been razzing her by subduing her and plucking out as much loose undercoat as I can. (Gosh, it gets hard when the molt reaches their skirt.)

I guess we’ll have to see if she does it again. Hopefully it was just a freak incident.

Well, no pee this morning. (Though I did have a dream that she did! xD) But I don’t recall her burrowing underneath my covers, at least not this morning.

Maybe it was a one-time thing.
