As of the last week or so shadow has been burrrowing alot in her cage and now is doing this really funny act.  she gathers as much hay as she can in her moth and looks like she is trying to throw it in the air or sways her head so it scrapes against the cage bars to make a scraping sound.

This morning I came down @ 630 or so and she was up on her loft looking out (she does every morning) whith her mouth full of hay. I tried to get a picture, didn’t come out good.

        Anyone elses bun do this?

None of my bunnies do this, but I know others have reported it.

I wonder if anyone has had a male bunny do this?  I would think it would be associated with “nest building” and just manifested itself in a cute way in house bunnies that do not need to make a nest.  Like bunnies that dig and push the dirt around with their front paws- too cute!!!  Like the video posted by jerseygirl in “The Lounge” forum- that is too cute for words.  But 2 of my bunnies dig- 1 spayed female and 1 neutered male- the 3rd bunny that does not dig- Cotton- has never thumped either (and the other 2 are thumpers).
