  Not urgent now, tell me if this should’ve been in the lounge.
  
  But, tonight, I went down with his veggies, about 7:20 PM. He was falling into a bunny flop in his cage, then getting up, falling over, getting up, etc…I knew something wasn’t right. I took him out of the cage. He wanted nothing more in the world than sitting in that corner – And wanted nothing to do with me, OR the veggies. (mind you, he always gobbles these up)
  
  So me and my dad were holding him…Feeling around for wounds, broken bones etc…And my dad set him down, and he looked for dark places and he couldn’t stand up right! I was really super worried by now. He was also very lethargic, also refusing a papaya tablet. I really thought he was gonna die, he was REALLY bad looking, that description…doesn’t describe it. We called our vet. WTH they say now they don’t treat bunnies. Called around. While my mom and dad did this I watched him nonstop. Picked him up. He was limp in my arms. Put him down, he eventually (about 30 mins later) started being a little more active…Grooming himself, looking around. Eventually I got him to eat some radish leaves…after that he started feeling better..About an hour after I first went down, maybe more, he shook himself off, hopped outta the cage and became himself again. Eating hay, grooming my hand, wanting petting, playing with toys.
  
  2 hours later… Situation; Active, social bunny that’s hungry, no poo yet, and 3 very drained humans!
  
  We’re still taking him to the vets tomorrow…Sigh…My dad thinks it’s the new veggies I introduced 3 days ago, I might never be able to feed them again.

  Possibly he was uncomfortable with gas…bunnies will sort of sit oddly and reposition themselves alot when they have gas. Still, glad he’ll still see the vet. My rabbit was once like this, she would be sitting up then sort of slip as if losing balance. It may have been the beginnings of an ear infection. Anyway, I had her seen and she was already better in the vet rooms. She still had an antibiotic injection and I had liquid meds to continue with for 5 days. She’s was fine. Best to nip possible infections in the bud. Good luck with Mr Bunny at the vet!

  It does sound like it might have been gas. What veggies have you started feeding? Some veggies don’t agree with some bunnies. It’s a little bit of trial and error to see which ones they do well with. Were you introducing them one at a time so you could determine which might have been the culprit, if any?

  What veggies were they specifically? Just curious…
  
  I know that I cant feed any of my buns kale or “most” of the gas causing veggies because it seems to always give them gas that evening. My 6yo female Carrera will do that..up and down trying to get comfortable, acts totally weird. I give her simethicone and within alittle while she is good.

  I’m so glad to hear that he is doing better today. It is so scary when those things happen, and then to hear your vet no longer treats bunny people. Let us know how things end up….

  The veggies were radish tops and carrot tops. They were introduced one day apart, he was doing great for 2 days with both of them. We’re heading off to the vet in 10 minutes

  OH my what a fright. Hope he is ok. Glad he is going to the vet. Wow you have such kind caring parents that is terrific.

  Glad Mr. Bunny is okay now. I agree it sounds like it was gas. I stopped feeding my lop celery because I think it caused him to have gas/statis twice. Do you know about giving simethicone? It can often work wonders on a gassy bun tummy.

  ack, I ever updated this. The vet looked Mr. Bunny over…And didn’t find anything wrong. I think it was probably just some gas…

  Sounds like Mr.Bunny has an extreme way of showing he has gas. Just like a boy to be like that! lol
  Wow, Carrera when she gets gas she goes and hides in the corner of her house. Refuses food or treats. When she refuses treats I know she is really hurting.
  
  Definitely go and get some Simethicone (Gas-x) for children. You can even buy the drug stores generic version just make sure to look at the contents of the med and make sure it says simethicone on it. The few Ive bought comes with a dropper and I use that or a small syringe to push it in the side of the mouth.
  
  The one nice thing is you can give quite a lot of this without it hurting your bun. I give this in addition to tummy rubs to try and get things moving. Then I leave her alone for a little while to give the med time to work and continue to give meds and tummy rubs.
