I’ve got both my holland lops fixed, I just put them together here a couple of days ago, since then they havn’t really done much. they sit together but thats about it, I use to let them out and they would jump and skip. now they don’t do that. I’ve let them out for hours at a time and they don’t even really want to get out of the pen. should I expect anything to change?

Are they fighting? I think it’s good if they are able to be together and not fight.

When did you get them fixed?

been about a month, I mean they are resting next to each other but they havn’t done anything like they use to. I put them together just a couple of days ago, but they’ve been fixed for about a month. Activity didn’t go down until I moved them in together, now they don’t want to do anything. my female lop use to come running up the side of the pen just to get some time out, now she just sits there doing nothing. even when I let them out she just sat in the corner, the other male kind of explored but neither of them were playing like they normally do. it’s really odd

So you think that their activity level has decreased? Have you tried giving them new toys or adding something new to their pen to get their curiosity up?

well, they have their chew toys which they still use, but they just seem really larthargic now being together. I can still pet them and they really seem to enjoy it. infact when I pet one the other comes up and lays right next to the other as if wanting to both be pet at the same time. are they getting along or they not content with each other and just being offish about it in a weird way. they sit together but I”m not sure if the female(snowball) is really liking it. she’s sat in one of the bungalows now and she just seems really laid back and doesn’t really want to come out. It’s really strange

I think they sound just fine – perhaps they were showing off for each other before and now that they are together they are more relaxed and content.

Or it could just be a coincidence the lower energy level – sometimes changes in season can make animals act different too.

                  Are they still eating well?
