I’m getting so frusturated with my Time Warner DVR.  I’ll schedule to record a series or an off show and sometimes it won’t record it.  Even when it’s the only show being recorded at that time.  I missed the first 3 minutes of Monk because I realized the record wasn’t lite up and missed a whole episode of Smallville   I haven’t contacted them yet; haven’t had the time.  My mom has the same exact problem and she’s with the same company.  Does anyone else have this problem on their dvr’s?  I hate leaving the house when something is scheduled to record and I don’t know if it’ll record or not.

Oooh Smallville. I’ve never really gotten into that show, but it’s kind of cool because a lot of it was filmed at my high school!

Sorry, can’t help you out with the DVR thing.. but that must be really annoying.

I have TIVO and have been happy with it- except when I forget to program stuff to record.  If you have missed episodes or partial episodes of shows- you might be able to watch them online on the network website- I have watched missed episodes that way before- though there is usually a wait before the episode is posted online.

I work at a cable phone and internet company. I work in the phone area though. But I have had that problem in the past with my DVR. I ended up bringing my box in and switching it out for a new one!! Sounds like something may be wrong with your hard drive in it!! I record Smallville and Monk every week too!! I freak out when I miss my shows!! And I have ALOT of shows!!

Our Comcast DVR has been acting up lately too.

Just to be safe, make sure it doesn’t have a limit on how many episodes of each show it will record. I have missed a couple because I forgot to erase the old ones.

Thanks guys!  Yeah I have a website bookmarked to see missed shows, it just sucks that we both have to watch it on this small screen.  But thank goodness for the internet!  We have an HD tv and a regular dvr and we’re suppose to have an HD box (when they installed it they never told us and we had an older tv hooked up).  So we’ve been trying to watch everything so we can take it back but we keep taping stuff and getting behind since my husband is on day shift.    Yup checked the episode thing and they can record up to 7 episodes.  Hopefully we can have a free weekend soon so we can watch everything.
