        lol   ok now

there was a program called the wolfman  on discovery or something.  His girl friend wanted to join. He was part of a wolf pack.  HE made her eat gizzards liver and such no veggies whatsoever or cake or what not a meat diet only.

He stated that the alpha wolf gets the best of the kill which is gizzards liver intestines etc.  The wolves can smell it on you breath and he wanted his girlfriend to be considered an alpha female as part  of the pack.  I thought this is crazy..    The food issue made sense but still ….  Gong too far for my taste.

anyway  as I am eating very little meat now n then to empty the frigie everytime I go to eat a piece  which has been twice tonite being the 2nd I keep thinking  is Cotton smelling meat  breathe and would it make a difference in how he relates to me without smelling meat breathe and only veggie breath.  ??

Then I stop and give the meat to hubby.  He is diabetic and needs lots more protein and veggie  to carb ratio.  I told him he can eat the majority of it.        Anyways this was just a thought

hmmm. It’s just a guess, but I think it would make sense for herbivores to be uncomfortable with the smell of meat on their human. After all, it may not look like it due to all the preservatives, but meat really is decomposing flesh and rabbits have a much stronger sense of smell than us. My buns never have to deal with it, though, cuz I’m a veggie

Im as well a veggieAlways have been always will be. My boyfriend however does eat meat, and my bunys arent as fond of him as they are of me. That might have to do with attention though, i give them more.

I suspect that your mouth breath, while it might bother him once in a rare while, is not the smell he associates with you and it won’t bother him. They probably don’t make the connection between a food odor and the source – another animal.

After all, this is a pet that LOVES my stinky feet, and licks them, even after a long day at work. What smells awful to us seems to please them. Maybe we’re less evolved and there’s something wrong with our noses.

I think on lang. of lago. she said don’t eat meat or milk before getting in bunnies face as the smell might make them uncomfortable.
Dave is a big meat eater (I’m a veggie too) and Rupert loves him so I dunno?

Lint will try to eat a hole through my dogs’ kibble bag. He will also chin their bones if one is left on the floor.

my bf eats a ham and cheese sandwich almost every day, and they doesn’t seem to mind.

                        this is an interesting topic

Actually, now that I think of it, when Stormy was a baby he would try to steal pieces of cat chow out of the kitty dish! But then again, dry cat food is not all meat and doesn’t have a very meaty smell.
