Nixon’s getting his stitches out (from his neuter) after work today and because the vet is super close to my work, and super far from my house- I brought him to work with me

It seems he prefers being a house bun to being an office bun. He’s pouting right now. My boss told me to set him up in one of the empty offices, so I did and I’ve been checking on him every so often.. he’s not too please with me. He even lunged at me earlier because he managed to get his cone off and I put it back on. Right now he’s stretched out behind a chair.. and there is poop everywhere but his litterbox.. oops  (a serious case of the protest poops?). Oh, and I’m seriously getting the stink eye bad today. I think I’m lucky that that office is completely empty.. or he would have everything in there ripped apart.

        Poor Nixon

Some rabbits will groom their incisions, that’s one of the things that vets keep an eye out for when they wake up.

Maryann and dono actually don’t mind being office buns as long as someone is around. Maryann actually heads out of my cube to go exploring and it is amazing that no matter where she goes in this maze of cubes, she will hop right back to my cube when she gets startled.

The protests might be because you aren’t in the office with him. “I was taken from my home, had my balls cut off and shoved into this empty office alone. You BET you’re gettin’ the stink eye Mom.”

Don’t worry though, once he’s sure you’ve received the proper amount of guilt, he’ll like you again.

Ha Markusdark… that’s hysterical. And probably so true.

Layla does pretty well in my office but she’s never here for more than 10 minutes at a time and that’s rare. I suggested an office bunny when I go out of town in a few weeks… It’s the perfect arrangement because there are people here 24 hours a day and she’d get a ton of attention but I doubt it would fly. haha

how can you let bunnies run around an office and not worry they would chew on cords?! lol Boston would cause absolute CHAOS in an office!

I bunny proofed my cubicle (I think it’s instinctual with me now).  When she hops out of my cube, I follow her at a distance so she doesn’t know I’m following her.  If she hops into an empty cube, I just step in and she runs back to mine.  If someone is in the cube, she just stops long enough to say hello then leaves because she knows someone’s watching the cords.

LOL It does sound like your getting the stinkeye!!

I’ve come up with excuses twice to bring Kahlua to work, everyone thinks she’s a puppy LOL (or they have no idea “WHAT is THAT??” hehehe)

Thank goodness Nixon doesn’t hold grudges for long. Once he was home (and with the help of a slice of papaya) he forgave me. I was even treated with some nose pet demands.
He’s so happy to have that cone off. He groomed himself for about an hour straight and then flopped about 100 times. At one point he was on his back, feet in the air, stretching across his pen. Ahhh I love happy buns
