Boston is totally litter trained. But every once in awhile, I’d say once every 2 weeks, she will pee on the linoleum by the front door, near our shoes. I’ve noticed that this usually happens when dad lets her out late at night. Whats up with this? Is she trying to tell us something? Is she mad at us? She’s never peed on the rug or our shoes but always either by the front door or by the laundry room door.

So she’s been put into her cage for overnight, then he lets her out for an extra little run around? Can you exit your place from the laundry or is this a place she’s not really allowed to go?

When it seems so deliberate like this, it does seem like they’re telling us something. I don’t know about you but they didn’t teach poo&pee language at school so I’m usually at a loss!

lol….yes she’s not allowed thru any of the doors in the apt. she espcially loves to try to get into the bed room but she’s never peed in front of that door. you would think she’d be happy that dad is lettin her out for extra play time! hmph!

I really can’t figure these behaviours out. Could she feel a breeze coming in under the door perhaps? No reason to pee about it.  I’m at a loss.

jerseygirl, that made me chuckle because when my baby brother was born, we learned the hard way that we couldn’t change his diaper under the ceiling fan.. anytime there was a slight breeze we had an instant water fountain. Eek. Hahaha.

I am having the EXACT same problem. My mini rex kahlua loves peeing on the rug where my roommates and I put our shoes. We also live in an apartment and she only pees on that little rug for our shoes. I don’t get it!
