Can you think of anything that’s changed recently? Maybe something new in the house?

i actually found the cat in there the other day and kicked him out and cleaned it but that was the living room and i cleaned it do you think he could still smell it and assume the cat was in the other one? the cat does not go in his room i clean his box often and use vinegar (sp?)

Did Moreland happen to see the cat in there at any point also? Do you put the poop back in the box when he poops near it? Also, chuck some litter on the pee puddle, soak it up and put some back in box maybe. Help re-establish that it’s HIS box.

i don’t think he did see the cat but who knows cats are sneaky. i don’t understand why this cat all the sudden thinks a box with hay in it is his box too when he never uses a box. i am thinking of making him a box again (ugh) i hate cat boxes. but if this will solve the dilemma i will try it. yesterday i took the rug out from underneath the litter box and just had the box on the linoleum he seems to be using the box because the linoleum is cold on his bunny butt im assuming no accidents last night. and yes i do put the poops back in the box.

who knows ??? im actually thinking about putting an xpen in my bedroom too and just alternating his areas to see if that will help him. i wasn’t sure if he was doing it because hes upset because he hasn’t been able to come out of his room because of his accident. we go back there but clearly not enough as he has become distructo bunny as well. his urine looks normal so i wouldn’t think its health thing. i will just work on re-establishing his litter habits.

You could alway try using same litter for the cat box too, since the cat seems to like it. Some have suggested putting it up higher so bunny can’t use cat box. The blanket underneath might have been the issue. I don’t know why, but the rabbits seem to pee on absorbant things in their areas, towels, fleece, blankets etc…
