        Original post here: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/forumid/1/postid/92074/view/topic/Default.aspx

I asked a while ago about advice.  After some hunting around, I’ve revised Bruno’s setup, and I thought you guys might want to see.  After getting an x-pen and a run to Target and an order from BB, we have Bruno’s new space.

        Long View:
Long view of Bruno's new cage

        Close up:
        Closer View

What the pictures don’t show is the improvment in my bunny.  He doesn’t race out of his habitat every time I open the door.  Some days, he lounges around inside even when he could leave.  He’s not doing as many binkies, but I have seen a number of Bunny 500’s.  And best of all, last Sunday he was so relaxed that he gave me this:
        A FULL-ON FLOP!

In fact, he napped all afternoon in the corner.  He’s so much happier now, it’s unbelievable.

We’re still having issues and always will cause he’s an onery goober, but I can tell he’s a happier bunny.  Thanks to all the advice, guy – I thank you, but Bruno thanks you more.

Nice setup. That’s quite the upgrade- what a lucky bun. I bet he is much happier with all that room he has now. I love the flop picture!

Sounds like he loves the new setup.

              And I love his hairdo!

                And I love his hairdo!

Yeah, it’s even better when he rubs against something headfirst, because then it stands straight up for several seconds.  I keep trying to get a picture of that, but the moment he moves, it falls back down.  It’s like a cow lick, but cute.

Ski, Ha! That’s from Target, paid about $10 for it. I was looking for wire baskets, ended up in the bathroom area. I found a “over the lid roll holder.” In other words, it’s meant to hang from the back of your toilet to store TP rolls in. I don’t see it on their site, so I’ll try to get a better picture of it. What I like is that it has two areas, and I can put timothy in one and oat in the other.

Haha!  That’s really cleaver!  I’ll have to look for it.  I just have one of those little ones that hangs from the other side of the cage and it doesn’t seem like he likes it or uses it and when I put hay in the litter box, his butt sticks out and he ends up putting outside his box

I was going to comment on the hay rack too.. it’s super neat! How creative of you. That works really well, I never would have thought to look in the bathroom department! Haha.

my college has these wire brochure racks (that always seem to be empty!) and everytime i walk by them i imagine them sideways and filled with hay. they would make the perfect hay rack. if only i could stick it in my bag and sneak it out… (lol… they’re like 3 feet tall!)

I didn’t think to do so either, but I was desperately wandering the store at that point, looking for a wire basket.  I was using a plastic one zip tied to the side of the cage, Chloe liked to hop up in it and use it for a litter box.

Like so (sorry for the lack of cleanliness, but I saw her doing this and snapped the picture):
                                  Chloe in her hay box

As a note, this is no longer my layout.

                                    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s so cute! My mini rex will sometimes hop into her plastic hay box. Even if I don’t see her do it, I know she was in it b/c when I go to refill hay there are a few “presents” left behind!

LOL!  I had a plastic basket in Archie’s other cage and he’d hop into it. Nearly breaking it since it wasn’t that sturdy!  Now he just has the small hay rack….darn I should have asked hubby to look for that bath thing while he was out today; oh well.

pryzmkess, that last pic is too funny! They’d readily hang out in a precariously hung hay rack. I’ve seen my bun walk along a 2 1/2 inch window sill. Yet they have a big drama if you pick them up nice and secure like!
