Forum DIET & CARE whats giving him gas!!??

        i feed baxter this organic spring mix that comes in a 1 pound plastic box and its really good because its organic and it comes with alot for pretty cheap. anyway im not sure what veggie has been giving him gas. in the mix is

        baby red, green and romaine lettuce

        red and green oak leaf

        red and green chard

        mizuna

        cilantro

        parsley

        arugula

        if i cant figure out whats giving him gas ill just start bying everything seperat that i know he doesnt get gas from(lettuces, parsley,kale, bok choy)

            Oh I’m also certain that they shouldn’t have Oak leaves!!

              I think this is Oak Leaf Lettuce – not an oak leaf from a tree.

                  Some bunnies can have probs with romaine. Guess it’s a case of trial and error and helping him relieve the gas if he gets it.

                    I think I get the same box, I usually pick out the frisee because it doesn’t seem bun acceptable. What I did was pick out all the same parts and go by trail and error. One day chard pieces, one day arugula just to be sure that I wasn’t giving them something that was bad/or would upset a bunny tummy. I have to be very careful because my lop Guppy will start overloading and produce too many cecotrophes.
