Here are some pics I took of Charmin tonight while he was sitting on my bed.  Did I mention that I love this rabbit?  I groomed him yesterday and he has no more matting and is nice and fluffy.

Such a smooshy lil fluff ball ! He looks like he’s sulking in his hidey box. “Enough already!”

lol he does look like he is sulking! hehe He has such a personality. Poor guy looks at veggies like they are strange evil things and hay too. He has never had any of that so he barely touches it. He doesn’t know what a water bottle is either. He will only eat pellets and saltine crackers he is starting to eat a little more veggies though.

They can kinda ignore new things to start with, as you well may know, then when you give it next time, they devour it in seconds!

Thanks, I think he does like me. He is such a sweet and gentle rabbit. Very laid back and gentle.

Thanks!  That is Julius, he is my holland lop x american sable and 1 year old.  He is adorable isn’t he?  I love harliquin rabbits and your little guy is no exeption.

It’s like those two are talking using those naval flag signals. Wonder what they’re saying…?

Lindsey, we now need a pic of Napoleon just to make this thread fair for all your buns!

Well, judging by your pics and my own adorable bunnies (and Frankie, of course), Harlequins and Puffy, REW bunnies rule!!!! I can never get over the fact that some people (mostly non-bunny peeps from my experience, dislike REW bunnies, I mean come on, look at the extreme cuteness in those pics of Charmin.

Loved the pics, thanks for posting your cute little buddies.

Oh I know what you mean by the red eye comments.  I took Charmin to petsmart on the way home when I got him and some people liked him and others were going “oh, he has red eyes”  Some are under the impression that bunnies with red eyes are mean.

Pics of Napoleon you say?  I can do that.

These are when he was younger at 4 months old (he is now 6 months).

His ears can’t decide if they want to go up or down.  They are pretty much airplane right now.  They were fully down when he was a baby though.

only 8 weeks old and he had urine burns on his ears and bright yellow feet

                                And now

Oh ouch! Urine burns on the ears….. Glad you have him and he’s much better! Do his ears bounce like a puppy when he runs? I love it when that happens! Er – that last photo has the chain from your light fitting in an unfortunate position…he looks like he’s being hoisted up – lol. Thanks for pics of ALL the bun buns!

Napoleon could get a job at Bunway Airlines or as the new addition to the tracks that monorail cat is on! Haha… you should submit the pics captioned to icanhascheezburger.com

Charmin is VERY cute! I also have a jersey wooly named Sophie, but she’s blue and has blue eyes as well. Your Charmin looks to be smaller than she is though. Most jersey woolies are around 4 lbs. Sophie is VERY easy to handle and good with being groomed. Everywhere I’ve read says that jersey woolies are very easy going, gentle, laid back, and even tempered bunnies. And from having Sophie I would have to agree. I will say that I’m very glad that she is so easy going since she does require a good amount of grooming.

Here’s some some advice about jersey woolies that I’ve learned from personal experience. Keep a good eye on the type of litter you used in Charmin’s litterbox. I say this because I personally like using equine fresh litter, which is wood pellets, but the only problem with it is that it will often get stuck in Sophie’s fur around her back legs, butt, and tail. I tried only using yesterday’s news but didn’t like it very much because it didn’t absorb the urine near as fast or as well. So what I did was do half equine fresh and half yesterday’s news. And that seems to be working really well. But also note that Sophie does like to set in her litterbox a little while after going to the bathroom, but not for very long. Also make sure that Charmin eats enough hay probably even more that your other rabbits because since jersey woolies have longer fur they will ingest more hair when grooming/cleaning themselves so you want to make sure Charmin eats enough hay to help move the ingested hair through his system. You may have to try different types of hay if your Charmin is anything like my Sophie. She is kinda picky on what she likes. She will eat oxbow timothy only a little. Does not like kaytee’s hay at all no matter what. Will eat oxbow orchard grass so so. But I found some orchard grass a petstore not far away gets that Sophie and my other rabbits absolutely LOVE. Use too Sophie would eat just a little hay but now she usually at least eats a small pile orchard grass everyday.

I absolutely love REW bunnies. I have a female himalayan colored netherland dwarf named Pixie who has red eyes. Her ears, nose, tail, and most of her feet are black and the rest of her is white. I personally think she’s gorgeous, but the breeder I got her and Sophie from didn’t spend as much time with Pixie because she said Pixie’s red eyes kinda made her uncomfortable. I hear alot of people say that even those have rabbit say that REW bunnies freak them out. I personally don’t understand it. I would like to have another rabbit someday with red eyes, but don’t plan on getting anymore rabbits right now. But who knows what the future hold

Jerseygirl-thanks yes him and his littermates were living in filth when I got him. Julius was at the same place but not in as bad of shape as little Napoleon. And yes his ears do bounce when he runs. And lol I didn’t notice that chain in the background, haha

Kralspace- thanks he is so cute when he gets flat like that

digxmexnow – thanks, little Napoleon is the sweetest little bunny ever. Even though he was living in filth when I got him he was the first one to run up to me and licked my hand. I just had to bring him home. When I saw Julius by himself in a old worn out hutch I had to bring him home as well. I really am a sucker.

Thearina- Thank you for the info! I got a new litterbox for him that was mentioned in another thread so that he wouldn’t get poo and shavings all in his hair. http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752717 I have tried timothy and he didn’t really go for it at all and got some orchard grass today hopefully he will like that more. He was only fed pellets and saltine crackers and nothing else in his previous home because she couldn’t afford anything else so he is slowly getting used to other things. I really don’t know what peoples problem is with red eyed bunnies. People were telling me that Charmin looked evil and everything. They would get exited that I had a bunny until they saw his eyes and then they would walk away.

When he lays down he is so fluffy you can’t even see his feet. haha
