Adee, I think it is. I remember some of the Texan members use it and I asked what it was. It is a grass hay right?  Also called Bermuda hay?

Edit: hehe! Yep, is totally fine.  http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/diet.html

awesome!! Thanks so much for looking that up for me! Im really glad to hear it.. i have enough to do a nice switch over too. I had considered doing a mix of timothy and coastal too… I have free access to both I go riding all the time and out at our barn there is always plenty of hay laying around (open bales people dont finish) and it usually gets thrown away, if nothing else Ill be able to put some use to it

Gah! How can people afford to waste hay? I mean, okay, I understand with rabbits, but with horses I can’t believe people would waste an ounce it’s so expensive right now! Or maybe it’s just because I’ve worked at rescue barns so long and every speck of anything is needed… Haha. I mean, yeah, a little bit ends up on the ground, but not using part of a bale? That’s just beyond my comprehension. Well at least you’ll be using it now so it’s not wasted. Maybe you could donate some that you don’t use to a local rescue?
