so about  amonth ago i was sitting on our couch watching tv and i could smell rabbit pee , so i looked around for a puddle or anything or a spott that i never saw him do and i couldnt find anything . so i watched him for a while and he went behind our couch  so i lokked ehind and he was gone so i lift the couch up and there is pee spots and poo everywhere. i cleaned it all up and moved his litterbox behind the couch (i had it in the corner of the room and i thought he was using it because he goes in there and theres always pooand pee in there but   ) and he used it for a good week and i thought the dilema was over but after that he just keeps going under and doing his buisness and its becoming a problem.

HELP!!! anyone got ideas, any thing to repell him from that area??

You may have discussed this on another post but I missed it – is Baxter neutered? If not, I’m sure that others have already told you how much that helps with the litter training.

As far as the couch, it seems that Baxter thinks that the under the couch area is now his “territory” and he is claiming it and marking it as his. I think that really the only option is to block him off from getting under the couch. There are multiple ways to do this, you could cut some cardboard to the height it needs to be and use that to block it, or create a fence of “neat idea cubes” (those square grids), or you can come up with your own creative ways to block this area off. In my opinion, that is probably the only way to really guarantee he doesn’t pee under there anymore.

Is he peeing/pooping in his litterbox at all? and is he peeing/pooping anywhere outside his litter box other than under the couch? If it is just under the couch, it sounds like he might be better litter trained than you thought and that he is just marking his territory.

The scattered poos do sound like marking his territory. You mentioned in other post that Baxter is 8 months old and not neutered yet? I would say the other thing you described is called Spraying, also a habit of mainly unfixed bunny boys. Though happily, I haven’t not experienced this myself!

Neutering Baxter will help with the spraying issue. Any chance you can moved his neuter to an earlier time?

Felony has recently decided that we are fighting so he’s lost his inability to use the box. You need to confine his space until he starts using the box. If he goes outside of the, clean it up and keep at it until he starts using the box exclusively. Also, he’ll likely poo anywhere there is food. For some reasons buns like to take it in and empty it out at the same time….

Although you will be punished severely with the stink eye, the bunny butt, and thumps, (I should know because I’m going through it right now with Felony) confine his free space will help a great deal.
