I just wanted to give some update on our xmas gift Bunny Maze, since we’ve had it for about 30 days.

We set it up as a double layer maze.  It sits directly in front of their condo.  I’m happy to report that the condo door is now open 24/7!!!  We are comfortable w/ their safety since having the maze.  Initially they were not allowed at night b/c we couldn’t supervise w/ the cats.  But w/ the maze, we feel they have adequate hiding space from mischevious cats.

My concern about cats in the maze is still a problem.  Our smallest cat Katie (about 5 lbs of scrawny) likes to go in & out of the maze, so very naughty!!!  The 12lber tries to get in but is limited to just his head & shoulders, his butt is too big.  On rare occassions, the cats try to play wack a mole.  The bunns have started gnawing on the cardboard, kind of shredding it, but it makes them happy.  Just wanted to share our A-Mazing tribulations.

Awe, love to hear it! It’s funny because though it was created for rabbits – chinchilla owners and cat owners are suprising us with their feedback.

So glad your bunnies have a place to hide from your naughty cats, except for; little Katie

I’d still be careful with those cats though if they are attackers or if they scare the bunnies.    A little cat scratch can lead to some nasty abscesses.   Sneaky naughty mischevious cats…well, for a cat…that’s normal.

What about Ferrets BB? They’d like the maze to wouldn’t they? You could really open up the market and then retire early

Thanks jerseygirl – Ferrets are a definite but for some reason it hasn’t taken off yet with that group. Just have to make time to really introduce it to more ferret groups.

So glad to share the feedback.  We haven’t attempted to store it since we set it up.  Fortunately for the rabbits, the cats are getting old and not as “motivated” as they used to be.  Especially w/ the cold really rolling in….they’ve been spending too much time laying in front of the radiators on their beds. LOL
