I was just wondering what a Neutered bunny looks like.  Do they remove the testicles?

I am asking because I have a bunny that I don’t know its history. He has testicles so I asume he has not been neutered.

But I thought I would ask just to see.

There’s some videos on the Velveteenlop Channel on YouTube. They have Pre and Post neuter videos.

The testicle is removed and after time the scrotum sac recedes quite a bit. The rabbit in the video has only just been neutered so the sac is still pretty obvious. At least this is how I assume they still do neuters……..I have a girl bun! lol

Rats, I just posted and somehow I deleted it when I meant to go back and edit. Geesh it’s getting late.

            Thanks Jerseygirl!

The sacs, that covered the now removed testicles, can actually swell after surgery, but they will soon shrink into little flat flaps, and then usually head up out of sight. I would say your bunny has not been neutered. Unless it was just recently, but you would notice the lack of hair or thin hair on his stomach and a scar.

Thanks guys. I am sure my guy has not been. I have had him for a year so.. I know it could not have been recently.
I always figured he was not, but the idea hit me that maybe they tie off tubes or something instead of removal.
But yeah, thanks for the link and stuff..
