  Since I have been set straight about the fruit and carrot situation (thank you by the way) the bunnies have not had any fruit in their morning salad. Today i cut up a papaya and tried to feed a peice to Helo, not having it, Starbuck on the other hand ate her peice with relish, right out of my hand for the first time ever. YAY!
  
  Helo did eat his after I got the heck away from him, i think he was waiting quite impatiently too.

  that’s great! anytime i feed something by hand (sometimes just a regular food pellet even) i say “treats”. now when i say treats they will automatically run up to me to retrieve whatever i have.

  My buns will always respond to the word “treat” or if I shake something whether what I am giving is in that container they will respond.
  
  What I just love is if I give any of them something kinda small they take special care to not bite me. How cute! Maybe that is more the reason why some buns don’t like to eat from our hands-afraid they will hurt us. Well, wishful thinking anyways. lol
  
  Sinistermooess- have you bought Papaya tablets yet? We heard Oxbow, the maker, is reformulating them and they will be alittle different but the old ones have always been in tablet form and bunnies do binkies for them! They also have pineapple in them and bunnies act like they are drugs!
  
  Best way to get any rabbit back into their houses.

  I call treats ‘cookies’ as in ‘Who wannnnnnnts sommmmme Coooooookiess!! lol They come runnin!

  mine are like that too Hedi. so careful when taking treats. i can feed tiny little pieces of their food pellets and they take it so gently.
