That’s adorable. My bunny doesn’t have a bed time, but I’m sure he’d be more than willing to tell ME when I could go to bed!

My buns know that when the lights are out and the door to the bedroom is closed, it’s time for sleep. Oh, they’ll do the little children thing of making some noise for about 5 minutes but when they realize Dad isn’t turning the lights back on, they go to sleep.

You are lucky to have such a bun. It is interesting that my Maryann takes to daylight savings time easier than me. She’ll always shake the cage at 7am for her breakfast. When daylight savings time hits, she seems to instinctively know it because the following day, it is STILL 7am when she shakes her cage.

My girl knows when it’s bedtime and she makes herself scarce so I have devil of a time getting her to her room!

Oh my gosh, that’s too cute… if only my 2 year old human child would be that easy to put down to bed…. Yes, Ruffles knows when bedtime is but like most buns, he fights it. We annoy the heck out of him until he goes to his cage…. “bedtime Ruffles” .. clap clap. Once he goes to his cage, he knows he gets a huge salad and some nose to nose action between the bars of his prison cell. I feel a little bad though since our whole family are early birds. So bedtime is 9pm. But that’s after he’s been out and about for several hours. So I’d say, he’s a lucky bun.

Samantha continues to change and amaze me. After a week of “training” her by picking her up, petting, covering her eyes (to minimize the squirming) and putting her in her house while saying “bunny bedtime” then handing her a treat, she seemed to get it and struggle less.

Until 2 nights ago, when I got off the couch and couldn’t find her. She was in her house! She’d put herself back! And did it again last night. I praised her, said “bunny bedtime, good bunny” repeatedly and handed her a treat while closing the door.

I think she’s never used the outside litter pan I have on the carpet, no matter where I place it, so she may be going in to use the litter pan because she has to go. On the other hand, I’d just cleaned it and she didn’t like the fresh stuff, so was rearranging it by tossing half of it out into the cage. Does anyone use white Carefresh? Is it me, or is it huge chunks now? I am going to try Yesterday’s News next, or at least switch back to the natural cheaper Care Fresh.

…and in case I sound like I’m bragging, this morning she won’t let me pet her. She won’t go back for Bunny Breakfast. She is boxing my hands. In short, she’s Brat Bunny again. Sigh.

kind of. i have pushed their pellet feeding time back about an hour and a half recently to 9-9:30 instead of 8pm. when they know it’s their dinnertime usuallu about 9:15, they will hop into their pen and sit in front of the empty pellet dish wating for me to put food in it. i will go feed them not too long afterwards, and then i close their pen while they eat. on the rare occasion they’re still playing when it’s time to eat, in which case i usually put their food down and let them wander in on their own timeline.

My girl just knows that there are two times she’s let out– in the morning when I get up for work, I open her cage door, turn on the coffee pot, and start getting ready. She usually does a few laps up and down the hallways and then watches me intently as I get ready.

I put her in her cage, go work, then when I come home I usually get dinner together, and then let her out. That second time she is let out, she usually is a MESS to get back in her cage because she knows she’s going away for the night. In the morning its not as bad.. I don’t know what her deal is.
