He is so much  happier in  his new cage.  We bought wire cubes at Target for 30 bucks and made a cage that is 3 times the size of the one they tried to sell me at the pet store for 60.  We still have some renovating to do which is why i love the cubes!  He became visibly more animated and happy once he got out of the bathroom, yay for Helo!

          Yay!

I see that you got the second generation cubes with the large holes as well as the small ones. Just keep an eye on things as the bun could get stuck in one of those holes. It looks like you used them in places he won’t get into though so it shouldn’t be an issue.

Yes we did, we couldn’t find the ones with all small holes, so we decided to use the big hole ones in areas where they would be pushed up against a wall. i read about that on another thread on here while browsing yesterday. We are going to buy a few more to make another cage for Starbuck once she can leave the babies, and then i suppose buy a few more to use in our kids rooms as shelves, so then we can trade out all the big hole ones for all of the little ones.

This one is pretty much just temporary so we could get hm out of the bathroom and back among the activity he is used to.

that looks great! those NIC cubes are awesome! very versatile! i think you went the better route rather than paying big bucks for an itty bitty cage!

They do seem to perk up a lot when in the main room where you hang out in.

Thats great.  I am so glad he is happy.

Are you going to keep the little kits?   The baby buns?

I want to, and we just may keep one of them. The runt is not going to make it, looking more and more like a peanut everyday, and one of the other ones is spoken for by my friend and neighbor Nayt. One left, three bunnies is totally doable. That is what i have to convince The Geek of.

Great set-up. Helo is so cute. I bet he is glad to be part of the action too.
