I got the feeling the buns weren’t eating the hay I got from the hay bales.  It looked all brown.  So I bought some fresh kaytee hay.  When I got it home and compared it wow what a difference.

And Cotton was so happy to see it I hand fed it to him and he took it.  I noticed the first nite of kaytee timmy hay he ate all of it and moved the old hay around apparantly looking for the fresh green stuff. Good to see him eating the hay.

Ruby I didnt’ see her eating it.  I hand fed some to her but she only took 1 piece.  AFter that I noticed her eating it out of her litter box.

Hopefully tonite I will put her hay holder in her house.

Being sick I need to go rest.  Sweat still pouring off of me. Ackh.

Moral of the story make sure the hay is fresh green not brown.

Some times this depends on the cutting too. I find that the 3rd cutting I have now has quite a bit of brown but my rabbits still seem to be eating it.
