I have a 4 year old holland lop, he’s litter trained, and has been a great guy… up until recently.  I lost my job and started spending more time at home and with him, and we bonded a bit, now he’s all over me.  Thats cute though, not the problem.  The problem is that recently he started peeing on everything he can find that is mine.  Not my husbands.  He pee’s on my shoes, if i leave an article of clothing on the floor, he’s even jumped up on the bed to give my side a nice rabbit bath of stink.

I don’t know if he’s sick, being a brat or what, his been on a steady diet of timothy pellets, timothy hay and fresh fruits and veggies.

Is he neutered? Generally that behavior will show up around puberty but sounds like he’s become very attached to you and the way bunnies claim things is to pee on them. Do you have a good rabbit vet already? If not, we can certainly help you find one! If he is neutered he should be checked for a UTI-thats a common cause of sudden incontinence in spay/neutered rabbits.

He is neutered and we have a great vet.  I will get him in right away to check for a UTI.

If his peeing on all that i own isn’t from the UTI, is there anyway to break him from peeing on everything to express his love for me?

Could it be like a dominance thing? Any one know? If your in the home more now he may be targeting your smell as it’s the more prominant around the place now. Well maybe not just dominance but territorial also. He may be a bit torn between his social nature and territorial nature. i.e. His social nature and your presence has aided your bonding but he’s also territorial about your increased presence in “his” space. Is he free range?
With the dominance thing – I was thinking maybe in his mind you’ve “bonded” bun to bun but he need to assert he is top bun?
