  Hey, this seemed to be the place for new people to say hi. I have a behavior post to add later, but I thought I’d introduce myself first. My name is Dawn, and I live in Missouri in the US. I am a new rabbit owner, as I just got my black and white lionhead right before Thanksgiving. I’ve been doing a lot of research, but I’m glad I found this forum – interactive feedback is so much better than flat text.

  Hi, Dawn and welcome! Congratulations on the new bun and be prepared to become yet another bunny-slave. There are a ton of friendly, knowledgable people here and the “Bunny Info” button at the top of this page has lots of great info as well. And what is the name of your new black and white (a beautiful combination, not that I’m biased or anything) friend?

  Thanks for the warm welcome. I have a lot of questions, just not a lot of time to type them up. His name is Bruno (which I didn’t give him). I do have some more pictures online, including one where he’s in the same frame as my cat.

  If by “bunny-slave” you mean someone who has rearranged her life around a small, fluffy herbivore, I think the process has already happened.

  I got Felony on Thanksgiving 2 years ago! He’s also a lionhead, a sexy sexy lionhead man! (at least that’s what he thinks)

  Thanks everyone for the compliments. I think he’s a cutie too! My roommate keeps wanting to shave off his long fur around his face; she can’t stand that she can’t see his face. But I’m sure he’s perfect as-is.
  
  Thomas and Bruno get along pretty well. Bruno’s there in part because Thomas is separated from the rest of the cats because he’s a bully. So Bruno gives him another animal to socialize with. I thought Thomas might try to bully Bruno, but so far he’s been more wary of him than aggressive. I’ve seen him swat Bruno, but not very hard, just enough to get Bruno to give him some space. Neither has gotten bitten, clawed or boxed yet, so we’re doing good. I think I may have seen Thomas binky once or twice… :p

  We are still in the process of gettting our cat and bunnies to sociliazed. I’ve been slow about it, but with supervised visits they have been good, but our cat is rather curious but would rather run when they come up to him. i don’t trust his fear though as i am afraid our cat would swat at them out of fear, so they are only together while supervised. And since i know rabbits can easily get abscesses, i also keep our cat’s nails dull.

  Bruno eyes stand out beautifully! I see no reason to clip the fur, unless of course you think it is necessary for him. He is lovely!
  
  I have one cat who’s a bully too. Well, she’s a feral cat who lives indoors with us during the winter months. She doesn’t like our other two housecats, so I have to keep them separated. Feral kitty only recently noticed my newest bunny who arrived in August and I didn’t like the way she was looking at him. So, always a good idea to keep an eye on any cat going near your bunny.
  
  It’s nice to see another new member here. I can relate to the having time to post stuff, sometimes I go…oh lets see…a whole afternoon without peeking in here? lolz….

  I took more pictures, including one that kinda shows how close my two boys are now. Thomas will let Bruno come close to him, and even sniff him, though he’s still suspicious of this strange cat.
  
  Yes, they share a foot fetish.

  Bunny-butt because he doesn’t like people to bend down and touch his back, and I forgot that in the excitement of taking his picture.
