So….Dave and I decided for xmas gifts that we’d buy something we need for our place, split the cost, and thats our gift. A boring idea, but hey then we can buy something we need and otherwise wouldn’t buy…So we bought a steam cleaner-it does carpets and floors!!

Dave’s been using it all week and has done all our floors. In the process moving furniture and tidying rabbit areas. Kahlua and Rupert and mad most notably Kahlua. They are not coming out of their condo when we are home, but we know they are leaving when we aren’t home/are sleeping as

The couch has been peed on

Their food in the hallway has been dumped all over and poops are all over the hallway

When Dave is home, and near the condo, Kahlua just stomps non-stop

I can’t help it, I think it’s really funny that these little furry guys are so idignant and angry over the disruption of ‘their’ house that they are pooping all over and stomping and making messes LOL

To quote Dave ” I NEVER thought I would have to alter my behavior to keep small furry animals from peeing on my things’   LOL

My girlfriend is going through that right now with Fitzgerald. She’s been unpacking all of her boxes and they’ve been going away – having all of his hiding spots disappear. He even had a ‘push of war’ with her with the litter pan. He WANTED to pee on the towel, she wanted him to use the litter box. He kept pushing it towards her so he could get to the towel and she kept on pushing it back onto the towel. When he finally conceded, he went poops, then hopped over to her shoes and peed.

I am just SO happy that Maryann is so anal about potty habits. Otherwise, I’d be swimming by now.

            that’s awesome!  so true too!

that reminds me of awhile back, something involving MImzMum I THINK about selling her house maybe?  (i might be totally wrong…) and the ad would say that it included a bedroom for small, furry animals.

i think that’s a great idea for xmas.  we pretty much do the same thing.  since we have a child, xmas is mostly for him.  he gets all kinds of stuff.  for us, we’ll just get something we both want or we’ll both use for the house, not a surprise, and maybe a little something that’s a surprise.  we’re the kinda people that if we really really REALLY want something, we’ll buy it for ourselves anyways… so it’s not like come xmas-time, there’s anything we are really dying to get.

Oh dear! I’d freak if one of my bunnies peed on my couch! Wally threw a fit the other day too. I was cleaning up the apartment before I left for Christmas break so it’d be clean for the bunnysitters (I’m in Calgary now). And after I’d finished vacuuming the area around the bunny cage – not even the cage itself – Wally decided this was unacceptable and started pooing all over the place where I’d just vacuumed. Then once I rounded them up into their x-pen he was thoroughly unimpressed with his new restricted freedom and left piles and piles of poo all around the perimeter of the x-pen – which I kept picking up only for him to replace them soon after. I felt so bad for the mess the bunny sitter would surely be coming to the next day! But I’ve been watching them on the webcam and it looks like the marking has finally calmed down and things are pretty much back to normal. He sits at the edge of the pen looking out, which makes me feel guilty, but he’ll just have to endure.

We also did the mutual gift thing this year, but it wasn’t anything as practical as a cleaning appliance. We got a big ol 50″ LCD TV. 😛 I think it’s ridiculous but it makes Jason happy and Dr. Phil is even better in HD, so all is well. 🙂
