        i’m not kidding.

i was able to find WSP in my dream.  i mixed them half and half with my recycled pressed paper litter…

and the bunnies used their litterboxes.

is this what my life has come down to…?!  dreaming about bunny litter?!

lmao.  i blame it on the recent WSP threads in the other foum…

i think i need to find WSP…  how often can you truly make your dreams come true…

Wow. That’s so strange. You must really really really want to find some to be dreaming about them.

Isn’t it amazing though… your mind can create this detailed dream about wood stove pellets and mine creates dreams about wearing pajamas to a meeting… but where is Daniel Craig when you need him? We may never understand.

You totally need to get WSPs though. It’s a sign.

            Giggle!
Yep, it’s a sign. A premonition dream. Your deepest desire. lol. Maybe it’s because hubby has said no WSP? So you can secretly live out a fantasy of having them thru your dreams? LOL. You POOR Girl!!

Maybe he’s secretly getting you some for Christmas and that’s why he doesn’t want you rushing out to buy them?

funny dream. I’ve been thinking a lot of WSP as well, but no dreams. Just as well. But the thought of going to HD again this makes me ill. When I get low, I’ll go back.

Hey Beka, why doesn’t your husband want you to use them? Maybe I missed another post. Just curious what his opposition is….

that last part actually made me snort out my nose… good thing i hadn’t been drinking anything at the moment.   i can just see a 40lb ”blob” wrapped messily under the tree and me guessing what it is (a DVD!  diamond earrings!  new toaster oven!)  and then being ridiculously overjoyed when i tore into it…

the whole thing with the WSP is complicated (i know, why should bunny litter be complicated?)

the closest place i’ve found that carries them is a Tractor Supply about 30 minutes away.  they’re not even WSP, it’s the Equine horse bedding but they’re the same price and size… so same difference…

i told Mike my plan was to go with 50 bucks and buy as much as i could, probably 6, maybe 7 bags…  mind you, now i spend 50 bucks on litter (8olb) for two months!  6 bags should last me 6 months, if not a bit longer…

i think he got scared when i said that b/c i wasn’t sure where exactly i’d put the bags.  we don’t have a garage (i have one of those little car tents with the metal supports and it’s not water-proof.)  as it is now, i have a bunny center in my dining room with litter, a big box of hay and their pellets.

so i think it’s distance mixed with storage issues, mixed with the thought that i would be bringing horse bedding into the house…

my rough figure is that we spend 300 a year now on litter, with WSP we could cut that down to 100… until then, i can only dream… lmao!

mmm…we’ve gotta start campaigning to get you these WSP’s. How much would 6-7 bags weigh? Could you store them in the car? At a work place? In the roof space?! There’s gotta be a way. Also – the 30 min drive….no biggy if saving $200/year. Maybe research other things out that way, something hubby wouldn’t blink about the distance to go see something of interest. Finally, start playing a loop recording of “Best to use Wood Stove Pellets” in the bedroom. It should subliminally enter his mind and before long he’ll be dreaming about them too!

what i’ve been doing (passive aggressive manipulation) is everytime i need litter (25 bucks not counting tax) i tell HIM i need litter. i could just as easily go purchase it myself and not tell him i bought a new bag, but i make a big deal that i gotta get litter. “oh the bag is heavy, i don’t have any cash on me, we’ll be out that way anyways…” so he always goes with me. sometimes i get it a week before i need it so it’s every 3 weeks instead of every 4… maybe next year i have to make a spreadsheet of our litter usage. lol. it’s really great when i need hay and pellets at the same time, because then it comes to over 50 bucks…

the only issue with doing this is that it stresses to him how expensive bunnies are or can be… so when it comes time that i will want another bunny, he’ll be holding that over my head…

I got six bags my last trip; I had originally planned three for home, three for the shelter; but ended up one at my house five at the shelter LOL
A bag is forty pounds but not that big, I fit all easily in my trunk (alongside other junk ) and each bag costs about six dollars!!
Beka I think you’d get like ten bags for fifty bux!! No wonder he’s worried!

LOL Allenj I was thinking the same thing!!! Beka, we need to have Santa express ship you some WSP! As for storage, while I do have a garage, what I do is dump the bag into a trashcan just for them. I can fit 4 bags in a 33 gallon garbage can. It works great, keeps them dry and I don’t see why you couldn’t store them outside like that (buy a brand spanking new garbage can with lid).

O.K. everyone, who’s with me on loading up your car with WSP and driving to Beka’s house?

                              I’m in!

And I agree that driving the 1/2 hour is not bad. I call that a short commute. If you get him to take you there once a month or so, you won’t have to store it, but I like the garbage bag with closed lid suggestion too.

I’m picturing a chute the height of the wall, floor to ceiling, with a spicket, that’s a really tall skinny rectangular box attached to the wall. Just fill it with pellets. Then paint it or decorate it to match the room. Kind of like a hanging water bottle, only with pellets. He’ll never notice it.

LOL Pam, we’ll start a cross-country caravan to save our fellow bunny lover from the agony of being WSP deprived. I agree that the 1/2 hour isn’t bad, especially if you buy four or five bags – they will last you a couple of months at least. I think it is worth paying the gas and spending the time doing it.

Yeah, 30min isn’t so bad…that’s what I drive to get mine. Only place in So Cal., as far as I can tell, that has them! And BinkyBunny herself sent me in the right direction to find them!

I buy 4 at a time, leave 3 in my car, give one to BF for his buns when he’s low, and figure whatever else needs to go in my trunk can go ON TOP of WSP.

I don’t want to know what this is doing to my gas-mileage. It comes down more to laziness (I don’t feel like dragging 4 40lb bags in!) than storage issues…

Criminy, they’re $6 a bag! I’d love to send you some, but the shipping’d cost more than the pellets!!!

                                  Merry Christmas, Beka, btw!
