So i started using those sticky roller things you normally use on clothes to get the pet hair off to groom pepper. It works sooo well!!! Hes going through a molt right now and shedding like crazy, so everyday i have been taking a roller and sitting him on my lap and just rolling him all over with it, forwards, backwards, sideways. he doesnt seem to mind too much until i have pulled out all the loose hair then the roller starts pulling on his normal fur. lol! i dont blame him. It works fantastically though! i have a slicker brush and it doesnt do nearly as good a job in the time! im starting to think it might be an expensive way to groom though because i go through about ten sheets every time i groom him! lol!

Anyone else do this with their buns?

It works really well for very short-haired buns.  My Pepper hates it but i did that on a foster that we had for a little while (poor thing was in desperate need of a nail trim and a good grooming) and it worked great on him.

I do it with Charlie before we go to the vets LOL. I give myself a roll down and look at him, then give him a roll down. I don’t mind grooming them every day with my normal brush cause they both have medium length hair and the brush works well, but when I take him to the vet I don’t want him to look tatty!
I get it from my sister. She paints her pug’s toenails.

Actually, I have some questions: Is giving the shorter hair buns regular brush downs beneficial? Would a slicker brush work best? Jersey is shedding and I brush her a bit more right now but she’s a bit flighty about it. I use a comb, a baby brush or just damp hands.  She had a really slow GI day (I guess I’ll call it) just yesterday and I want to keep things moving and minimise risk of her over ingesting hair.

I read somewhere that damp hands or damp paper towel worked well.

I use my tape rollers on the brush after I groom the bun, never thought of using it directly on him, mostly because I wouldn’t want any tape residue to be stuck on the remaining hair. Do you think I should worry about that though?

The last molt they all went through, I think most of the fur wound up on me instead of in the brush or the roller. 0_o I just have to put them in my lap and WOOT! Off comes the fur…right onto my clothes and up my nose. >.<

I’ve used the rollers, and they do get off a lot of the loose hair. In the end, I end up gently pulling some of the hair(and I mean GENTLY) because when they are shedding bad you can sometimes see the chunks of hair that are about to come out.
