        Hi!

Could you let me know if I should remove my bun’s ear from his water dish?  Did he drop his ear in the bowl on purpose or accidentally?

The last 2 inches of his ear (his ear is quite long) is in the bowl.  He’s sleeping right now.  This happens pretty frequently when he’s lying near his bowl.  When I see it, I reposition it, but wonder if it’s not supposed to be there.  It’s not terribly hot right now, but is he trying to cool off??

Thank you for your help!  I am pretty curious about this.

I don’t think it’s a big deal at all; If it’s getting wet in an area that can’t dry (like the chin) maybe but the ear should be no biggie

You could get a crock that attaches so that it can be placed a little higher and then I’m sure the ear couldn’t get in there!

            Oh phew, thanks!

My crock attaches, I can move it higher.  We started out with reg bowls, then heavy crocks – he flips (or tries to) everything.
