         **EDIT

Oopss. I went to edit my post and ended up deleting the whole thing! (and of course, *after* i closed it I realized there is an undo button!)

Eek. Anyways, I mean to add that I haven’t offficially adopted him yet, but hopefully soon! AIthough have fallen in love with his picture! =) He really is a gorgeous bunny.

Oh, he’s gorgeous – he kind of has a frosty color to his coat – very unique.

It sounds like you have a very good plan for keeping him comfortable too. Try some fragrant fresh herbs and some kale to start. Do you know what he gets right now and likes – might want to ask his foster family for their suggestions on this as well.

Hi and welcome to the forum. He is such a gorgeous bunny. He looks real chunky and cuddly…aw! I’m not sure i can help you on the name front as i think his name is really cute already. I love the old fashioned human type names I’m sure you will pick out something nice for him when you bring him home and get to know him.

I think the main thing for his recovery is to limit any opportunity he has to exert himself. I was advised to take out Henrys house after his neuter as it might hinder his healing jumping up and down on top of it. Also it is best to give him cage rest and not give him free range time for at least a week. I gave him a ceramic bowl for his water too as it takes less effort that going to the bottle for a drink. I cleaned out his litter tray every day so it would be nice and clean to prevent any dirt getting into the wound which could cause infection. As Sarita said some nice fragrant herbs and kale are good but also make sure it is something he is used to as too much of something he has never had before may cause an upset tummy. Keep an eye also to see if he is pooping and peeing as this is very important in the first 24hours after surgery.

Id say he will be fine…it sounds like you have things covered and he has a loving home waiting for him. Goodluck and let us know how things go

Wow, he is such a beautiful bunny!  I can see why you chose him.  He looks so soft and cuddly.

I agree with the other posts that suggest asking the foster home what veggies he has had and what veggies he liked/disliked.

Oooooh! I recognise that bunny! You didn’t happen to adopt him from the Hoppy Endings Rabbit Rescue did you? His coat is lovely! Well done for adopting! Very glad you’ve come to this site. Not only is it a wonderful resource but also very supportive and fun. We love bunny pictures and naming suggestions. So Welcome here!

Mmm…nothing springs to mind yet or names but I’ll think on it. I’m too enamoured by his looks at the moment!

What names are you tossing around at the moment, if any?

Oh my, he looks so much like my bunny Jack!  (even ahs gray tinge on the ears like Jack) He looks stocky like my bunny too!  Jack  is a big compact boy!

                  Congratulations!!  He’s just so handsome!

As far as surgery goes, males are usually less invasive than females, but it’s wonderful that you want to make sure you’re doing the right thing.

The House Rabbit Society has an excellent article about pre-and post care.   Check it out.  http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/spay-neuter.html#pre-post-care

Congratulations on making the decision to add a bunny to your life. I’m sure you will find it very rewarding and it’s so great that you got him from a rescue!

He’s gorgeous. How big is he? I assume he is a rew (Red Eyed White), I can’t tell the colour of his eyes from the pic.

You could always just shorten his name to Petey or hmmm… names for a white bunny: Here’s some ideas.

Eskimo, Marshmallow, Snowy. He looks sort of greyish too so maybe Dusty (or Dust Bunny). I love the name Garnett for a REW (as in the beautiful red stone).

That’s all I can think of for now.

My REW Amelia is running all around the house right now. Hopefully you can get the photo back up so I can check it out! I am so excited that this bunny has found such a caring home to go to.

Eeek xParadise, sorry if jumped the gun assuming you had already adopted him. Hope this doesn’t put you in awkward position. We had been following the development of Hoppy Endings here at BinkyBunny so it was exciting to see one of the bunnies show up! Assuming I have got the identity right!
He almost has a brown or lilac tinge to his coat. Sort of like a lightly toasted marshmellow. Anyone familiar with the dessert Bomb Alaska?
                            Anyway, he’s just very Handsome!
