I just spotted this announcement on the MCRS website, and thought I’d share it here as well.  If someone else already made a post about this, I apologize for the repetition.  But I know a lot of people have mentioned using simethicone products for treating bunny gas, so figured it might be useful to someone.

“Simethicone is commonly used in rabbits experiencing gas issues, so we wanted to alert our members and readers. If you have purchased Infants’ MYLICON® GAS RELIEF DYE FREE drops (simethicone-antigas) non-staining in 1 oz plastic bottles since October 5, 2008, please read about important recall information at http://www.mylicon.com.”

Thanks so much for posting. I have temporarily pinned this to keep it up for awhile.

Does this apply to generic versions of the simethicone drops for infants? Or just the Mylicon name brand?

I’m thinking that it is just this brand, but it wouldn’t surprise me though if other companies started recalling if they used the same source.
