My husband would never agree to that- even if I explained that is the only safe way to get them upstairs past a spiral staircase.  I can see the look on his face saying “So?  What do they need to be upstairs for?”

That is really awesome, but I wonder how hard it is to clean.  I wonder if he rents or owns?  Can you imagine the landlord walking in?

Oi, just imagine a grumpy bunny going up there and not wanting to come down! Or if they were sick! I hope they can open it up at will! It’s neat, though!

I want one! But I rent too and I just don’t think the landlord or my BF will agree…

Hahaha! And the 3 humans at the end………they look like they are hypnotized but the buns. Very commited! It’s actually a clever use of space. The buns get heaps of exercise and are kept from under foot and unsafe areas. Just hope all the barriers are secure!

What about those ones that always come flying out of the litter box along with bunny. They need a special name!

well, i tried… lol.

but watching that i was thinking…

1) poop. imagine sitting on the couch and getting bombarded with poop.

2) sick/grumpy bunny. would they just never come out?

3) cleaning all those rugs, even if not poop or pee… all that FUR… how would you pull them out to wash and then put them back?

i click back on this thread and it seems my BinkyBunny friends had all the same exact thoughts i did, well, “great minds” and all that… ;o)

i have friends who have something similar in their [rented!] apartment for their cats. it’s just an “L” shape… on one wall there’s a ramp that goes up, on the adjacent wall there is a straight ledge, carpeted and not boxed in about a foot from the ceiling. the cats will lounge up there. i remember the first time i went over there, my first thought was… BUNNIES!?

I finally got the vid to d/l…holy moley! 0_o A great piece of construction, and I think it would be easy for the hubby to come up with something like that for the bunnies, but in my house it just wouldn’t do-especially in the wintertime when it gets SO hot in the house…up there at the ceiling would be a terrible place for them. They prefer the floor, 100%.

How on earth would one clean it? It has to be constructed to be able to interlock the pieces (like Lego’s) and take them down one by one to get them clean, I wouldn’t feel good about it any other way.

I’ve seen one of these for cats on some kind of generic ‘home improvement’ show, probably on PBS. It was years ago. I begged for something like that for our cats, but we decided with how messy they are, it just wouldn’t work. I have a hard enough time getting the fur off ground level items, never mind something over my head.

It would be scary to think if any of that came apart and a bunny took a tumble from that height. But all in all it’s a cute idea. ^_^

That’s so cool, but I don’t think I could ever get my ferrets to come down….And it would be terrible to clean!!!
