Way to suck.

I think we’ve all done something similar at some point!

I dropped a utensil in a deep fryer and I start to dunk my hand in to grab it and suddenly, with my fingertips just centimeters above the super hot oil a voice in my head said “What the #$@! are you doing?!?!” Thank goodness for those voices, and people think they are bad things!

that sounds so painful…

i did something ouchie this evening, but fortunately it wasn’t THAT BAD! i’m getting over a cold and i made myself a cup of hot tea. i was walking into the living room with it, Mike said something to me so i turned to look at him (WAY TOO FAST!) and hot tea sloshed over the side of the cup and burned my hand. so as it was burning i had to continue to walk slowly to the table before i could put the cup down and dry off my hand! ow.

haha, bunnytowne – I’ve never stuck my hand gloveless into a hot oven. I do a lot of stupid things, but even that one is beyond me! It’s like a big burning cave of doom!

I burn myself all the time mostly though I worked in a kitchen with special needs students I helped them adapt to working and I always say now so and so the burner was jsut turned off it is hot and they would say ok miss and I would go and touch it or lean on it or forget etc lol

Ouch, sounds like smething I would do lol, I once dropped a hot pan off the stve top & caught it with my bare hands. Must have been some sort of instinctive reaction but after burning my hands pretty badly I just dropped it again anyway cause it was so frickin hot.

I recently was washing out my metal teapot and had forgotten it was just used in the last hour or so…tip the top over to get the old water out and YEOWCH! Right over my left thumb and forefinger….OY that was HOT! >.< Had to hold my hand under the cold water for about fifteen minutes, you gotta love well water from a glacier at a moment like that, lemme tell you….

I get really dumb with the hot stuff. That’s why I usually call the hubby in and get him to pull things from the oven or off the stove. Steam burns are the worst for me. I get one a week at least.

I used to take Ambien, during my chemo and radio, it was a blessing to have it, but, yah…that stuff makes you loopy.
