  I have been experimenting with bunny wood chew toys and I have seen other bun sites selling wood toys made of Balsa wood. Well, here in OH I can’t find it to save my life so I ordered some.
  
  So, $40 later I have two long planks shipped in from Colorado. lol Yeah, I had no idea the cost but glad I got it anyways.
  
  I am having my husband cut it down but for kicks I put one plank in the floor. The buns have gone to town on it! lol Carrera was up here for 30 min just working and working! HIlarious because she was “smoothing out the corners” and she would chew, spit out the wood, chew, spit out the wood, and so on. lol SO funny seeing her spitting out the wood.
  
  It is very very soft wood and grows in warm places so I am not sure where the CO people are getting the wood but they sell to bird people for bird toys so they assured me its not treated.
  
  I think I made the buns week! lol

  Sheesh Hedi, you should have just asked me! Shipping from Colorado how funny. Have you tried craft/hobby stores or even better yet, a dollhouse or modeling store that has balsa wood for wood carving and making remote-controlled aircraft? I find it really hard to believe that you can’t find it.

  Well, I was looking at all the local big and small home stores. And then of course worrying if it is treated or not. I do remember airplane models coming up and totally forgot about it. The planks were less than $4 a piece it was the shipping and crap that got me.
  
  For me it was worth the $ to be sure it wasn’t treated. They are two very large/long boards that I wll have my husband cut down and will last for a long time. But I had to put one plank in the floor to see what happened with the buns. Just like a bunch of little beavers! lol
  
  Bunnytowne- I will get video next time. It was just so cute. They have so many toys that they haven’t gotten bored with everything so I was looking for something new and different for all of them.
