  So tonight is my volunteering at the humane society. I was wandering around picking out my fourth and final bun to take out for the night. The one bunny ran strait to the edge of the cage and started poking his nose through the bars…I had to take him out…He looked exactly like Kokanee. It was a stupid thing to do, because now I’m just in tears, he was so much like her personality wise too It sounds so stupid but I knew you guys would understand!!

  Awwww…..I’m so sorry KK! I understand. I saw a baby rat that look just like my Charrlotte a while ago that was up for adoption. I would have gotten her if I knew I could care for her, but I can’t right now…(((((hugs)))))

  I understand…no more to say though is there, some things don’t heal & that’s not always a bad thing. I remember all the crazy antics of my dog when I start to get upset & although I’m crying, I’m laughing as well.
  
  You’re doing such amazing things for the animal world! Kokanee must have had a hand in you starting a rabbit rescue with friends.

  i get it. when Mead goes over that bridge, i don’t know if i’d ever be able to get another mini rex. i think it would just be too hard.

  That would make me very sad too. I get sad when I see pictures of bunnies that looked like mine.

  I totally relate K&K. How sad and yet at the same time, how sweet that there is one there that can share time with you and be comforted by your gentle and loving ways. Any bunny who has you to help it is blessed indeed. ^_^
  
  I have been in tears on and off a bit myself tonight, as I think my old husky dog may be in his last illness. We think he’s having seizures, possibly due to some kind of growth. He’s going to be 13 in December. Much too old to put through surgery or medicinal therapy. I don’t know if he’s going to make it, but if he doesn’t…well…I won’t ever be able to look at another husky. It would hurt so bad because I’d be looking for Shadow in the face of the other dog and I know I wouldn’t find him. *sniffle*
  
  Animal companions that are one of a kind…what would we do without them? *sigh*

  Oh, I totally get that. I always get a little stab when I see bunnies that look like Bailey, so I can only imagine what it would feel like to have one similar in my arms, back in my home. Just sort of a double-take and then “pain”. Hugs! I bet though this one will soon show you some unique characteristics and give you joy and love while she’s in your care.
